Best & Worst of Pat McGrath LuxeTrance Lipsticks | 2020
Pat McGrath LuxeTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is supposed to have a “intense color payoff” with “comfort” and “rich hydration” that has a “satiny sheen.” Of the shades I’ve tried, they are richly pigmented, long-wearing, incredibly comfortable to wear from start to finish, hydrating, and generally flattering on the lips. The texture was smooth, velvety, and creamy enough to glide across the lips with ease but never felt slippery or too clingy. Most shades performed exceptionally well, and while pricey, they at least lived up to a lot of the claims. There was no discernible scent or taste.
My personal favorites were: Lavish (muted, plummy brown), Sorry Not Sorry (pink plum), Beautiful Creature (plum), Madame Greige (mauve), and Realness (muted pink).

This is a stunning range of lipsticks, beautiful shades and a perfect rating. My favourites are Strange and 35MM.
The “worst” one got a B+ rating…awesome!
It’s just a pity that the international shipping for her products is also expensive. I was going to order one, but when I saw the total cost, I almost cried out loud.
Maybe one day in the future…
I should’ve known I’d fall hard for these. Just going by how lush and rich in pigment they appeared to be in the initial swatches, they were obviously a winning formula. But now have at *least* 6 on my WL!
I really wanted to love this line because the colors are so rich and beautiful. I purchased Sorry Not Sorry and Beautiful Creature. Both dried my lips out terribly. By mid-day, they looked and felt parched. Too bad for me 🙁
These rated so well!!! I will have to look into them. I really love the matte trance lipsticks. So luxe and feel amazing on!
I wish they weren’t so pricey because they’re all really pretty and performed well. I do like that there’s no scent too. I might pick up either Attitude or Lavish later on, they’re the only ones I believe I don’t have dupes for.
This is the essence of quality. Maybe some of my dupes are dying. Please?
