My skin tone/coloring: Light yellow/gold
Most loved product of the week: Bite Beauty multistick, in general. I’ve been playing with the “monochromatic makeup look this week and the multisticks have really been helping me with the blush-layering thing I’ve been doing. I now have enough colors to be able to stick to a hue through my entire process.
Most used product of the week: Sephora Crayon Shadow & Liner in Cafe au Lait; I’ve also been doing the “nude eye and stronger blush and lips” look this week (so my monochromatic makeup has really just been about cheeks and lips), and I wore this crayon every day — it’s the perfect blank-palette eye for me.
Any new beauty discoveries?: Butter London’s Glazen Eye Gloss. I got Oil Slick, and I’m really happy with it. It lasts about the same on me as any other eyeshadow on my oily lids (not counting ColourPop’s mattes, which wear like iron on me), so no surprises there, but the color is astounding. I’d really like to go back and get Mermaid, but I’m stuck on the name (can’t personally stand the “I want to be a mermaid trend” which seems to have taken over everywhere in the past year … bah humbug).
Seriously? I read that thing over three times before I posted it — how did I not notice that I had no end quote mark after “monochromatic makeup?” Why is it we can’t see our mistakes until they’re public … or is that just me?
It’s not just you. I do the same thing all the time.
Skintone / coloring : light, NC 20, med brown hair and eyes
Most loved : ABH Modern Renaissance. Just cannot quit it!
Most used : ABH Modern Renaissance Palette. Of course. Also Loreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation. ABH Brow Wiz. Clinique Stay Matte Sheer Pressed Powder. Too Faced Bronzed & Poreless Matte Bronzer
New beauty discoveries : Loreal Infallible Paints Matte lip in Peach Pit . Loreal Infallible Paints Metallic in Moonlust. Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Lipcolor in Loyalist . Loreal Colour Riche Monos in Acro-Matte & Matte It Up. Loreal Revitalift Brightening Day Moisturizer. Loreal Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Makeup Blender.
My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Most loved product of the week: Sauce Box Mermaid Life Palette
Most used product of the week: bareMinerals Complexion Rescue in Opal 01; Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Beauty’s Touch (worn as a blush).
Any new beauty discoveries?: 1) Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Beauty’s Touch makes a great blush on pale skin. It’s like a cooler version of Benefit Dandelion on me. It’s too dark for me to use all over my face as intended and has been sitting a drawer for months. I was going to de-stash it, then I thought to try it as a blush.
2) UD x Basquiat Lipstick in Anatomy looks good on me. I was afraid it would be too light with my pale skin and would make me look weird. But it doesn’t.
My skin tone/coloring: Fair redhead
Most loved product of the week: Urban Decay Naked Heat!! <3
Most used product of the week: It Cosmetics CC cream (lots of time outdoors in the sun! Needed that extra SPF)
Any new beauty discoveries?: Tarte Shape Tape (I'm late to the bandwagon but it seems great so far)
Just tried Shape Tape for the first time yesterday and I’m tentatively optimistic (I have a really hard time with concealer, probably because of my age).
Just my experience but the Shape Tape is a fabulous under eye concealer. It provides great coverage and sets without needing powder. But I didn’t care for it as a blemish concealer. Even when using the tiniest amount, it gets cakey and makes a blemish look crusty.
My skin tone/coloring: light/Medium with neutral to slight yellow undertones
Most loved product of the week: Tarte Tarteist Pro to Go pallete, I was out of town part of the week and took this with me because it’s so travel friendly but have kept using it even though I’m back home, solid little pallete with pretty much all the colors I need for everyday looks.
Most used product of the week: Loreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation, Tarte Shape Tape, UD beached bronzer in Bronzed
Any new beauty discoveries?: No, this was a very full week with work and family so I stuck to products I know work, and last all day on me.
My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones MAC NC37 or Lancôme Teint Idole 24H in N360, deep plummy-brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.
Most loved product of the week: I have been totally enjoying using so many of my recent purchases! Love: CP As You Wave and Deep Dive so much! Also loving UD Jean-Michel Basquiat Gold Griot and Tenant Eyeshadow palettes, CP Might Be, MAC Oh My, Passion and Sí, Sí Me lipstick, plus now also UD Jean-Michel Basquiat Abstract lipstick, too!
Most used product of the week: It Your Skin But Better CC Cream SPF 50! And UD Jawbone w/ either MAC Oh My, Passion or CP Might Be with it.
Any new beauty discoveries? That I seem to be on an epic blue with blood orange kick of late! Could be our very delayed monsoon is having a flame-thrower effect on me…. Idk? And that UD Abstract lipstick with Nyx Nude Truffle gives me a very unique, but kinda sexy nude lip!
My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain with pink undertones
Most loved product of the week: My Besame lipstick in Tango red
Most used product of the week: That’s a hard one – It’s a cross between the Lorac Pro Metals for colour and and Ambush for neutrals.
Any new beauty discoveries?: A couple – that my Rimmel Stay Matte Translucent powder is just as good as Laura Mercier’s Translucent setting powder, but at a fraction of the cost and I think way more product.
My second beauty discovery is that my twin sister has FAR more cosmetics than what she has been letting on.
Christine – you would love her nail polish bag – at least 50 shades of coral, dusky pink and peach…..
