Urban Decay Sesso Naked Flushed Cheek Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Sesso
Urban Decay Sesso Naked Flushed Cheek Palette ($34.00 for 0.49 oz.) includes a bronzer, highlighter, and blush poured into a single pan (so each shade does touch!) with the bronzer taking up the most space and the highlighter taking up the least. Each shade is supposed to be “intensely pigmented” and “blend beautifully.” The bronzer and highlighter were lovely to work with–pigmented, long wearing, and blendable–but the blush was under-pigmented and harder to blend out.

Sesso (Bronzer)
Sesso (Bronzer) is a medium-dark brown with warm, golden pearl and warmer, yellow undertones. The consistency was incredibly smooth, dense without being too thick or too firm in the pan, and very easy to blend out on the cheeks. It had rich pigmentation that applied evenly to the skin and lasted for eight hours on me.

Sesso (Highlighter)
Sesso (Highlighter) is a soft, peachy beige with warm undertones and a frosted finish. The color payoff was intense, so a little went a long way (good thing, as it was the smallest shade in the palette!). The texture was smooth, cream-like (denser, not at all powdery), and blendable on the skin and did not emphasize my skin’s texture. It wore well for eight hours before fading on me.

Sesso (Blush)
Sesso (Blush) is a muted, medium-dark pinky plum with cool undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-sheer, buildable coverage (up to semi-opaque) with a soft, powdery texture that was thinner and drier compared to the other two shades. It was harder to blend out evenly on the skin, but it was manageable with enough effort. It lasted for seven and a half hours on me.

I’m confused. Didn’t these palettes end up going on clearance for 50% off last time around? Why would UD make MORE shades?
They are new, so possibly they tried to make them better? I think the bronzer/highlighter are fairly good in the trios but the blushes aren’t my favorite.
I guess it’s good for me that the blush didn’t perform well, because I don’t think the bronzer would work for me at all.
Money saved 😉
It’s a shame that the blush was so difficult to work with. It’s such a pretty shade!
I know!!
I really love the bronzer and highlight in this one, as this bronzer can easily make for a lovely bronzey blush! However, these all in one pan doohickeys are bound to get really messy, I would imagine. This blush actually looks super pretty on, despite it being a huge PITA to apply!
Yes, they can get messy when they share a pan 🙁
The bronzer is totally stunning, too bad about the blush. I wonder if they should’ve have done 3 separate pans, and maybe sharing one base affected the quality of the blush, like what happened to those disastrous Hourglass Modernist shadow palettes
Might be! The blushes of the three new trios were all a bit of a miss (to varying degrees), while the highlighters were all very consistent.
That Bronzer though!!! <3
I love the bronzer and Highlight. But that blush is leaving something to be desired.
I'll have to think about this one!!
The bronzer is pretty!
The blush and the bronzer make this one a no go for me.
Easy skip!
Thanks for the review! How annoying that the blush wasn’t that great. Is there one of the Naked Flushed palettes that you would recommend over the others? No one wants to spend the money and only have two out of three shades be good quality. Thanks again!
I wouldn’t 🙁 I like UD’s single blushes/highlighters a lot! I find that formula to be better overall.
Thanks Christine! I really appreciate your advice and reviews xx
Aw. Bummer…
Yeah! 🙁
Lol, did they really flat out called this product sex? 😀
