Giorgio Armani Cool Mauve (50) Neo Nude Melting Color Balm ($38.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark mauve with cool undertones and a matte finish. It had medium, buildable pigmentation that applied with more medium to semi-opaque coverage when using fingertips and more semi-sheer to medium coverage when using a brush.
The texture was smooth, moderately dense, and more like a velvety cream-powder--it wasn't wet to the touch but had some spring and creaminess to it once I pressed on the pan's initial surface. The product was lightweight, thin, and quick to feel powder-like once it came into contact with my skin. It applied evenly over bare skin as well as on top of foundation, but it was most evenly applied on top of less emollient foundations. It wore well for eight hours as a cheek color and six hours as an eye color.
