It was richly pigmented with a smooth, creamy consistency that was soft without being too firmly pressed in the pan, yet it wasn't powdery or thin either. The powder applied evenly to my skin and "melted" as I buffed and blended out the product. It had a noticeable sheen but wasn't overly shimmery, so it didn't emphasize my skin's texture even worn at higher coverage levels. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a touch.
