Sadly, none of those budget brands is available in Canada in-store (and I’m sure it’s no news flash to anyone that I don’t like ordering products on-line). Add to that the fact that shipping and customs/duty would drive the prices of these budget products up to where I could get a high end blush for about the same final cost. Some of them sure are pretty, though.
Darn!! What are some of your go-tos in Canada, Mariella?
There really isn’t much to be honest, though we do have Joe Fresh (but there aren’t any testers and often, the displays are in pretty bad shape). We’ve also got Essence and a limited selection of NYX and then the standard d/s brands – Revlon, Maybelline, etc. – but I haven’t tried any of their blushes (they maybe nice but I’ve not tried them. I guess because I don’t buy blush all that often, when I do, it’s one that has really caught my eye from one of the department store/Sephora brands.
Gotcha! 🙂 Thank you for getting back to me!
I love a blush by the Canadian Brand called Marcelle. it is in the shade raspberry and it is a beautiful glowy pink raspberry.
I have heard great things about Marcelle!
I’m in Ontario and I ADORE Marcelle!! I love their skin care, and I use their brow powder every day!!
i love their skincare too! especially the ultra gentle cleanser. i have never used their brow powder! i should try it soon !
I love Puppy Love! I wish I could swatch it.
If only!
Yes, LOVE CP Bardot!! The finish is so complex. And just wore CP x Hello Kitty Fun With Friends yesterday, so brightening. SO SAD CP Strapped in single pan has been OOS for a while and it’s LE, can only get in a kit, but I don’t need the other stuff. Just ordered MUG Secret Admirer and Puppy Love, sadly Love Letter was OOS or I would’ve grabbed that too.
It is hard to keep up with ColourPop products for what’s in stock/permanent/sold out but will return!
Colour Pop is just an amazing brand for all of its products.
It is!
I own two Makeup Geek blushes and I really like them!! I have Soulmate and Romance, and I love them both!! I even hate matte blushes, but I still really like the formula of Soulmate!!
They are nice! I do prefer the old formula for the finish, but the formula was still pretty good on the new ones!
Can I justify Bardot, based on not receiving a Taraji, and only having Make You Mine? Ought not, but it does not violate my New Year’s Resolution! It’s the complexity that Katherine cites, and Nancy loves it, too. Probably should look it up vs. Mufe Copper Red, too. When Bardot goes, bet it comes back. I doubt that Prickly Pear e/S was as popular or unique, but that just made a reentrance.
I’d compare to Copper Red – though that is likely more pigmented off the bat compared to Bardot!
Prickly Pear is a neat shade!
