Editor's Review

The formula is supposed to have "buildable" coverage and can be applied with fingertips (which will yield "higher coverage") or a brush (for sheerer coverage). It's a cream-based product that has a subtle, "wet" feel to it but never has the thickness of a true cream-based blush. It goes on with the smoothness of a cream formulation but diffuses and blends (without lifting up one's base) more like a powder product. The product sets to a powder finish, so the product won't slide around during the day. On me, the wear tends to be between eight and 10 hours. Most shades have medium, buildable pigmentation with some being semi-opaque to opaque on occasion. They are typically blendable, easy to use, and long-wearing.

Fingertips will provide the highest amount of coverage. Brush suggestions: Use a flat synthetic cheek/ foundation brush or a short duo fiber brush; flat synthetic brush will give more coverage and the duo fiber brush will give a more sheer, air brushed effect. WHEN FINISHED: Close that sucker up tight! Don’t leave the jar opened for long periods of time; you may lose some of the magic that makes the Super Shock Cheek so amazzzing. Colour builds from natural- looking flushed looks to more intense bright looks. … Build to your heart’s desire!.

I wish they return this shade of highlighter. It blends well and not to light or dark.

This blush is so frustrating for me because it is easy to apply and looks natural and because it is creamlike texture there aren't stark edges, HOWEVER the color just fades away instantly, When I first put one it looks a little too bright but then it I pat it to tone it down it completely fades away. Fine. So I stopped patting it and left it a little to bright, and like an hour later there's no blush on my face. Where does it go? If I use this product I know I will have to reappky it throughout the day, which I don't want to do for blush because I have the largest pores and most texture on my cheeks. I am going to use it up, but I won't repurchase or recommend this shade. If you are looking for a natural cream blush at a more affordable price point I recommend the Holika Holika Jelly Blushers.

The formula is super soft and bouncy. I really like it because it does not look powdery on the skin. It lasts pretty long too. Perfect.

Just as a warning, the amount of pink/cream/brown in the product is pretty variable. Both the one I was sent and the one pictured on Colour Pop's website have considerably more brown then the one pictured, making mine swatch more of a straight up bronze than the lovely pink of Christine's.

Creamy and buildable, I use it as a base for my powder products or on its own when I want something natural. The only thing is that the pan separated from the compact after a couple uses.

This blush is quite sheer (unless one spends quite some time building it up), but I consider that an advantage rather than a downside: it's good for getting juuuuuust a little colour in my cheeks, without it being too obvious or too light-toned. I marked it as both natural-finish and luminous, because which you get depends on how much product you used; I find it works well for "breaking" a matte look and naturalizing it without the shine getting Obvious, even in harsh summer light. (My summer light is utterly unforgiving that way.) Similarly, it won't budge or fade almost no matter what, once applied. (So far the only things that made it come off are makeup remover, or my dog licking my face.) That's +12hr, easily. It's an adorable colour that'll look good on porcelain-to-medium, pink-to-neutral skin tones, but not so much on golden/olive. (Didn't get to test it on any skin darker than medium that isn't golden, but I suspect it won't work well.) I find that it's best applied with fingers.

Very nice nude colour, but slightly difficult to apply. I feel like there is pigmentation, but it's rather difficult to get that with your fingers. I use the real techniques buffer brush, but really any smaller synthetic dense brush will do.

The color appears dark in the pan, but really sheers out upon application. This color is beautiful and a very glowy blush - I WILL be repurchasing when I run out of this. I was scared to wear a pink blush as my skin gets red during the day, but this is very natural looking. I like to apply mine with a Real Techniques stippling brush - I press/stamp rather than rub it onto my skin. I do set my foundation first with powder before applying this, and have had no issues with this getting cakey or looking strange. Highly recommend!
