MAC Modest Blush & Sweet Sentiment Mineralize Blushes Reviews, Photos, Swatches
MAC Heirloom Mix Mineralize Blushes
MAC Modest Blush Mineralize Blush ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “light baby salmon pink.” It’s a light-medium, muted pink with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had more buildable color that was mostly opaque with two to three layers. The texture was soft, lightly powdery, but blendable, and the color lasted for seven hours before fading slightly. The Mineralize Blush formula is described as “sheer and lightweight” with “colour [that] builds lightly,” which seems to hold true here. YSL Passionnee (6) (P, $47.00) is warmer. YSL Singuliere (1) (P, $47.00) is cooler. MAC Pink Sprinkles (LE, $21.00) is similar. MAC Lesson in Love (LE, $21.00) is lighter, warmer. Dior My Lady (002) (LE, $60.00) is cooler. Dior Rose (001) (LE, $56.00) is lighter, cooler. Sleek MakeUP Icing Sugar (P, $6.99) is more shimmery. MAC Formal (LE) is similar. MAC Stay Pretty (P, $23.50) is cooler. MAC Rosy Outlook (P, $23.50) is lighter. Illamasqua Naked Rose (P, $26.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
MAC Sweet Sentiment Mineralize Blush ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “rosy pink.” It’s a cool-toned, muted, medium-dark pink with a lilac/lavender vibe. It had a satin finish with buildable color that was opaque in two layers. The blush felt soft, smooth, and was blendable on the skin. This shade wore well for seven and a half hours on me. Makeup Geek Rendezvous (P, $9.99) is darker, less shimmery. Makeup Geek Hanky Panky (P, $9.99) is less sihmmery. MAC Young at Heart (LE, $20.00) is a cream product. Clinique Plum Pop (04) (P, $21.00) is brighter. Milani Delizioso Pink (10) (P, $7.99) is brighter, lighter. Too Faced Jingle All the Way Blush (LE) is more shimmery. Tarte Dollface (P, $26.00) is lighter. NARS Angelika (P, $29.00) is less shimmery, darker. MAC Pink Tea (LE, $21.00) is similar. MAC Feeling Flush (LE, $27.00) is darker. Illamasqua Morale (P, $26.00) is more shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
These blushes are from the upcoming Heirloom Mix collection, which launches online on October 19th and hits stores/counters on October 23rd. International locations should see this sometime in November.

I think I really like this packaging!
Yay!
Too bad Modest is a bit powdery. I can definitely see it in the swatches.
Luckily, it doesn’t seem to be present when you apply as a blush, blend, etc.!
So excited you have these all to review already! And suuuuper glad that, although these are pretty, I can safely pass on them! My list for this collection is a mile long so anything I can skip is good :p
Yay for your wallet 😉
Cool shades. *_* Modest Blush remind me of Benefits Hervana as well but more pigmented.
Both were nice – I think good choices to pair with the Pressed Pigments/Lipsticks in the launch.
Modesty looks really pretty on you!
Thank you!
Modest is such a nice shade on you. Too bad it doesn’t perform so well. $30 for a MAC blush seems a little steep, compared to what I’m used to.
Thanks, Audrey! Yes, the pricing on the Mineralize Blushes has gotten quite high!
Modest seems to have that gorgeous sheen that Early Morning and Subtle Breeze have/had but I don’t need another peachier toned mineralize blush. Sweet Sentiment is more the colour I want but doesn’t have quite that subtle sheen but I may well get it, in my vain pursuit of something like Subtle Breeze.
The whole time I was playing with Sweet Sentiment, I was thinking of you and Subtle Breeze. I think you may find it looks more similar than not once applied!
Okay – that’s all I needed to hear! I’ll be off to get this as soon as it’s available in-store!
When do they launch in stores? Thanks

Sweet Sentiment is very pretty!
I think so!
Both of these are pretty, but I definitely approve of the purple berry tinge to Sweet Sentiment. Possibly they’re not terribly unique, though (how do you make a unique pink blush these days? ) 😉
It’s tough! At least Sweet Sentiment isn’t SUPER SUPER SUPER dupable.
I was hoping Sweet Sentiment applied closer to how it appears in the pan… I know there are “dupes”, but I really love mineralized face products. Oh, well… It’s not as if I don’t have a long enough “wishlist”, anyway, LOL!
Bummer!
They both look lovely on you, Modesty most of all, such a pretty, pretty colour. Not sure I’ll get either of these, but they are both very easy on the eye.
Thank you, Helene! 🙂
Modest Blush is interesting with the hint of Salmon it has to it…but I’m not taken with either of these – maybe I just have too many pink or pink-like blushes.
Aw, maybe next collection!
Love the Modest Blush. How does it compare to Dainty?
Dainty is brighter/warmer!
I’m not crazy about either of these shades (will anything ever be as exciting as purple lipstick? Likely not), but can I just say: MAC’s satin and matte finish Mineralize blushes always look amazing. The dome is just so Chanel, you know? Except without a side-along brush. 😛
Or you know, the high price tag. Not that these are all that budget-friendly, lol!
Holy heck, that pigmentation is amazing!
It’s nice!
Once again, just not feeling them. IDK what’s wrong with me!
Blush overdose 😉
what is your skin care routine ? it looks fabulous !!! thanks for the review , so looking forward to this collection – the blushes, the e/s , the lipsticks and glasses.
Nothing special, really! I use two prescription products–Differin and a topical antibiotic–that really keep my skin in check.
Love these two, will be purchasing them. Disappointed that there are no MSFs to go with the blushes in the collection.
I was surprised that there were no highlighters this year!
Sweet Sentiment is very, very pretty! I wasn’t expecting to like it so much
It is!
Sweet Sentiment looks so pretty! How does it compare to Gentle Mineralize blush? I picked it up at duty free last week (yay!)

I initially ruled these out, but guess who’s making googly eyes at Sweet Sentiment?? (spoiler alert, it’s me)
LOL!
