The Milani Matte Color Statements, hands down. Also had some good luck with ELF’s matte formula. If liquids are being included, I also enjoyed the L’Oreal Infallible in the two step packaging.

Haven’t gotten to try Milani’s matte liquid formula yet, though. Never popped up in any of my local stores.

Maybelline Nude Nuance has been my go-to lip color, especially if I’m wearing bold green or blue shadows. It’s the perfect peachy nude brown on me, doesn’t clash with the shadows, so easy to wear. I normally avoid this kind of color like the plague, since they tend to make me look sallow, but thanks to Temptalia, I gave it a try and it’s now one of my top 5 faves. And 2015 was the year my purple lippie collection exploded ( MAC Heroine, NYX Twisted, CP Leather, Grind, Fern, Boogie Nights). Also love Colour Pop Grunge (hello ’90s!), had to get a backup since it sends me down memory lane, to the days of my youth πŸ™‚

Lippie Stix are on my list to try! For drugstore, everyone is raving about the L’Oreal nudes and reds based on famous actresses. I haven’t tried them but they do seem to be quite pigmented. When it comes to lipsticks in the drugstore I tend to gravitate towards Revlon Super Lustrous, Lip Butters, and their jumbo pencils.

I am so jealous looking at your lipstick swatches Christine. I haven’t been able to wear lipstick for months now because everything I put on my lips dries the crap out of them and I end up with unbearably chapped lips that take two weeks to heal. Bah! I am fairly certain it is the long-wearing and matte lipsticks that are the culprits but I am having to wear one and wait a week to see what happens before I can try another and it’s a lengthy, time-consuming process. πŸ™

I’m loving these lists, but my wallet isn’t. πŸ˜‰ I love Maybelline Coral Burst and Vibrant Violet.

I buy a lot of DS lipsticks, so my faves of what I can remember that were new/new to me in 2015:
*ColourPop Lippie Stix in Contempo.
* ColourPop Ultra Matte in Dr. M.
*Makeup Revolution Atomic Lipstick in Serpent.
*Nyx Butter Lipstick in Pops.
*Nyx Creamy Round Lipstick in Snow White.
*Nyx Matte Lipstick in Perfect Red.
* Nyx High Voltage in Playdate.
*Nyx Liquid Suede Cream in Stone Fox.
*Jcat Pout-licious in Candy Man.
*Hard Candy Fierce Effects Lipstick in Galactica.
* All of the Covergirl Star Wars collection.
* Wet n Wild Fergie in D-Vinely Chilled and Ferguson Crest Cabernet.
* Jordana Modern Matte in Matte Blush.
* e.l.f. Matte Lip Color in Mulberry Maven.

Whilst in the US this year I picked up the Sephora Favourites mini lip kit and love both the Marc Jacobs and Tarte lipstick contained in the kit. I also bought some Bobbi Brown lipsticks too that I really like. The texture of all three brands is soft and creamy.

I swatched Synth in Ricky’s Beauty on Thursday, and it’s so stunning. I’m just afraid I won’t wear it since I usually stick to mattes (for convenience’s sake, I don’t often get a chance to reapply through the day), but it’s one of those rare mythological shades that’s both quite unique and surprisingly flattering/easy to wear (considering the metallic shine).

I love pretty much everything I’ve gotten from colourpop … silk, boogie, feminist, and grunge are some of my favorite lippie stix, and I like kapow, stingraye, dr. m, creeper, tulle and trap from the liquid lippies.
