Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipsticks
Maybelline Rose Rush (735) Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick ($7.49 for 0.14 oz.) is a brightened, coral-red with warm undertones and a luminous finish. It had mostly opaque with a light layer of translucency, so the natural lip color will peek through. The consistency was lightweight, emollient, and comfortable to wear as it was lightly hydrating and didn’t settle into lip lines. It wore well for four and a half hours on me. Tom Ford Beauty Diego (LE, $32.00) is darker, less glossy. Estee Lauder Carnal (P, $30.00) is redder, darker. MAC Excite (LE, $16.00) is more muted. Bobbi Brown Lady Ruba (P, $26.00) is less glossy. NARS Lana (P, $32.00) is more orange, less glossy. MAC True Red (LE, $16.00) is similar. Lipstick Queen Jungle Queen (P, $22.00) is lighter. Estee Lauder Impassioned (P, $30.00) is similar. Givenchy Mandarine Bolero (304) (P, $36.00) is lighter, more muted. NARS Short Circuit (LE, $26.00) is brighter. Maybelline Orange Edge (LE, $7.49) is darker. Guerlain Genna (P, $51.00) is similar. Maybelline Coral Burst (740) Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick ($7.49 for 0.14 oz.) is a lightly brightened pink-coral with warm undertones and a light sheen. It had nearly full color coverage, but it had a very lightly translucent look to it as well. On me, the color lasted for four hours and was hydrating while worn. Urban Decay Sheer Streak (P, $20.00) is sheerer, more muted. ColourPop Rocket (P, $5.00) is more matte. Bite Beauty Sucre (P, $24.00) is darker. Gucci Beauty Hibiscus Thrill (P, $39.00) is darker, more shimmery. NARS Kelly (P, $32.00) is darker. MAC Love Temple (LE, $22.00) is similar. Givenchy Corail Decollete (303) (P, $36.00) is similar. Givenchy Rose Boudoir (204) (P, $36.00) is cooler-toned. Revlon Snow Peach (LE, $7.99) is slightly lighter. MAC Be a Lady (P, $22.00) is lighter. Tom Ford Beauty Paradiso (07) (LE, $49.00) is lighter, pinker. Marc Jacobs Beauty Shout (138) (LE, $30.00) is more matte, darker. YSL Rose Neillia (33) (P, $34.00) is glossier. Chanel Melodieuse (136) (P, $34.00) is darker. Too Faced Bon Bon (P, $22.00) is more muted. Givenchy Rose Dressing (202) (P, $36.00) is slightly warmer. MAC Watch Me Simmer (LE, $16.00) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Maybelline Peach Poppy (745) Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick ($7.49 for 0.14 oz.) is a light-medium pink-peach with warm undertones and a luminous finish. It looks warmer and more peach-toned swatched, but because it isn’t fully opaque, it seemed to look pinker applied. It didn’t go on quite as evenly as one might like, though it wasn’t as streaky as light shades can be. On me, this shade wore well for three and a half hours. Maybelline Blushing Bud (705) (P, $7.49) is darker, pinker. Tom Ford Beauty Flynn (LE, $32.00) is lighter, more matte. Tom Ford Beauty Addison (LE, $32.00) is more matte. Bobbi Brown Pink Kiss (P, $26.00) is darker. NARS Vanessa (P, $32.00) is darker. MAC Dream Daze (LE, $22.00) is lighter. Estee Lauder Impulsive (P, $30.00) is similar. YSL Corail Jalouse (32) (P, $34.00) is brighter, pinker. Tom Ford Beauty Summer Fling (04) (LE, $49.00) is sheerer. Urban Decay Native (P, $22.00) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

And I still love everyone! I saw these in December, just as our weather finally got a little cold, so the timing is perhaps a little off. But I love them.
Did you pick any up?
I did. I got the all. The only time I’ve ever bought that much maybelline and the only time I likely will. Odd how some collections just grab us…and I don’t even think of myself as a pastel girl. Must be the rebel part.
I love ur YouTube videos
The last two are so pretty on you!
Thanks, Anna!
Coral Burst looks very pretty to me! Rose Rush would be nice if I decide I want something with quite a bit of orange in it. Peach Poppy is too light for me. Looking forward to more reviews of these, I like sheer lipsticks for casual days!
Sheer lipsticks can definitely be nice when one doesn’t want to worry about maintaining a lip color or has barely-there makeup on!
Oooooh, let’s scratch Blushing Bud, I like Coral Burst even better 😀 And I love that it gets an A rating.
Yay! Glad there’s an A one for ya!
All of them are pretty but I love the first two
Do you think you’ll get the first two?
Rose Rush and Coral Burst are gorgeous!! And both are dupes for some HE lippies 🙂
They are! I was surprised at just how similar Rose Rush was to Guerlain Geneva!
Coral Burst is fab, but I already have ColourPop Rocket so I can pass 🙂
Yayyy!
All beautiful! I’m a little confused about why they named the first shade “Rose Rush,” though. It’s definitely not rose!
I agree – definitely not a traditional red rose… but maybe another type of rose?
I think of rose as being a pink shade with a bit of mauve, and that’s usually what you see when something is labeled as “rose.” Rose Rush looks like a true coral to me. I actually wondered if they’d gotten the shades mixed up when they named Rose Rush and Coral Burst.
Meh… These aren’t exciting me much… they seem pretty dupeable.
They’re definitely that!
A MAC Watch Me Simmer dupe makes me excited!
Definitely similar! Watch Me Simmer feels thicker on, but this is more hydrating.
I definitely need to get Coral Burst! It’s super pretty!
It is!
You look awesome in all the shades, but you look absolutely stunning in Rose Rush! I’m more fairer, so I’m looking forward to trying on Coral Burst!!
I was pleasantly surprised to find that Revlon and Maybeline are finally making lipsticks that don’t smell rancet all the time! It’s been years since I bought a drugstore lipstick, picked up some new favorites yesterday!
By the way, is it just me, or do Tom Ford lipsticks smell and taste rancet?!
I am pretty sensitive with smells, but for my first Tom Ford $50 purchase at Nordstrom’s, I was very disappointed! I ended up returning it.
Thanks again, I love your Blog and wonderful swatches!!
My TF lipsticks all smell like vanilla! They basically smell the same as my MAC lipsticks (both brands are owned by Estee Lauder), and neither have a taste for me. I’m so sorry to hear that you encountered that 🙁
I’m loving coral burst!
Woohoo!
Peach Poppy is probably my favorite shade wise of these three – I’m really into peachy colors lately for some reason. 🙂
What’s your go-to peach these days, Kimmy?
Thank goodness! I was disappointed with the lighter swatches. These look much more like the color sensational lipsticks I know and love. Coral Burst will be mine if I can ever find it!
Thank goodness there are some winners 🙂
Great to see Maybelline getting great grades! It definitely makes me feel better about purchasing at the drugstore level. 🙂
There are some gems to be had at the drugstore for sure 🙂 Just takes some hunting, LOL!
Rose Rush ans Coral Burst are definitely my favourites of the collection 🙂 Having said that, I think I already have some lipsticks in my own collection (in a similar vein) that are undeappreciated, so I should probably dig those out first!
Rose Rush and Coral Burst are very pretty. Still not impressed with the lighter shades.
Now it’s an affirmative for me: Rose Rush and Coral Burst are must-haves for me to have for this upcoming spring/summer! Love how luminous and fresh they look on you Christine! Then again, nearly everything does look great on you!
I’m definitely going to be picking up Coral Burst! I’m glad it’s an A because I’m almost out of Revlon Snow Peach and this looks brighter, but it looks close enough for me. Can’t wait to see the rest!
Rose Rush and Coral Burst look absolutely awesome! I’m not a fan of Peach Poppy, I think it might be too pastel-nude for me (if that makes any sense). Hopefully this line gets released internationally real soon!
I liked all three lipsticks here but Coral burst tops my chart.. 🙂 It is such a pretty coral on lips! 🙂
Rebel Bloom is not in the dupe list yet, is it because there’s a lag between the time of posting and its entry into the dupe list?
It’s also not in the post title, fyi.
Thanks! Looks good.
Well, that just sold me on Rose Rush. (It’s what I refer to as a “me color” – no matter how many I have, when something launches in that shade, I end up buying it anyway.)
