Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

It was worth bringing back. Already used it a bunch this year, despite the sweetness. Pretty good dupe for the d/c’d Lipstick Queen Rust Sinner. A bunch of years ago, long before orange being the new black, rust was the new neutral. Still think of it that way. Late 70s, I think it was. Actually a great shade. You should love it.

Skin Tone/Coloring: Skin tone is light neutral, salt-and-pepper hair, green eyes

Favorite Look Worn: I started a new weekly challenge of picking one eyeshadow palette to use every day for a week. This week was dedicated to the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette, which is a palette I struggle with because it usually looks too orange on me. But on day three I came up with this very nice, soft, neutral look. BROWS—NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer, Diorshow Browstyler in 004, Clinique Brow Shaper in Charcoaled. EYES—Same NYX primer, TF Sweet Peach Palette (Charmed I’m Sure in crease, Luscious on inner and middle lids, Caramelized on outer lids, White Peach on brow bones), Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Mascara. FACE—Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder, Wet n Wild Precious Petals Highlighter, MAC Mineralize Blush in Sweet Enough. LIPS—Sephora Lipstories Lipstick in Brunch Date.

Most Used Products: Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder and Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette (plus my usuals: NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer, Diorshow Brow Styler, Clinique Brow Shaper, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, and Tarte Shape Tape Concealer)

New Beauty Discoveries: A few days ago, I wore MAC Blankety lipstick to work, and when I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror at the office, I realized how sickly this shade makes me look. I recently bought a tube of L’Oreal Colour Riche Shine in the shade Varnished Rosewood, and, being the lipstick snob that I am, I relegated it to my desk drawer at work to be used in case of a “lipstick emergency.” Well, on this day, my sickly Blankety lips definitely qualified as a lipstick emergency, so I reached for the Varnished Rosewood. I was happily surprised to find that it is a super nice goes-with-everything shade. Very comfortable and long-lasting. I’ll definitely be using this shade more often, and Blankety is going into the Back-To-MAC pile. It was the free lipstick I got on my last Back-To-MAC, so not that big of a loss, I suppose. (I’m not sure why I feel so snobby about lipsticks, yet I have no problem wearing drugstore moisturizer, primer, blush, highlighter, and mascara.)

Varnished Rosewood got an A from Christine, so it should be a really good shade and I think it is one that would work with most looks. A beautiful colour and it’s good that you had it handy to replace the lipstick that you found didn’t work for you.
Maybelline also put out some great DS lipsticks too.

My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones, MAC NC37, Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.

Favorite look you worn: I was feeling a strong Fall vibe on Thursday while getting ready to go for my infusion! Took out ABH MR and here goes; Tempura browbone, Burnt Orange transition, Realgar crease blown upwards, ND Linen from Lila Mini inner lid and tear duct, then back to ABH, Antique Bronze lower lashline and outer lid blended all the way over into Linen, Cyprus Umber to deepen outer crease, blended out with Red Ochre, patted some Chanel Empriente du Desert #1 (light warm bronze) mid lid to blend Linen and Antique Bronze better. Applied UD Corrupt 24/7 pencil to both upper and lower lashlines smudged a bit. Black mascara and tightline. Cheeks: MAC Aaliyah Baby Girl “bronzer” for some subtle warmth, and Oh My, Passion for color, Fenty Metal Moon highlighter. Lips: ColourPop Lux Lipstick in On Repeat with Nyx Earth tone Slim Lip Pencil and GA Luce lipgloss.

Most used product of the week: Just all my usual basics? Like Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, Maybelline Full & Soft WP mascara, Smashbox Fishnet eye pencil, Hourglass Dim Infusion and Mineral Veil Primer, plus my super old L’Oreal Continuous Cocoa Infallible eyeshadow that I use to fill my brows.

Any new beauty discoveries: I finally ordered something off of eBay, and it was the real deal! The OG Nars Thessalonique duo that I had nearly missed out on because I didn’t see the change in formula coming in time to get it in-store. Not a fake, thank goodness! ?

FACE — NYX Angel Veil Face Perfecting Primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; RCMA No Color Powder; Sephora Tranquil (contour); e.l.f. Original Mist & Set.

Most used product of the week: My usual dailies. I didn’t wear makeup much this week, and when I did, I was trying to play with different new stuff every time.

Any new beauty discoveries: BH Cosmetics Waterproof Lipliner in Brazen is a dead-on perfect match for pairing with UD x Kristen Leanne Cloud 9 lipstick.

My skin tone/coloring: Light medium, yellow undertones. Dark brown hair & eyes.

Favorite look you worn: Nothing stands out this week, I’ve had some early starts at work so my makeup has been fairly basic slapdash as a result.

Most used product of the week: BH Cosmetics duolight highlight palette, for the second week running (!!!!!) – I’ve been using them as eyeshadows as well.

Any new beauty discoveries: The Nivea Q10 + Vitamin C night cream and eye cream are fantastic. I’ve seen better brightening results from then in 4 days then I have from 3 weeks with Verso’s $150 antioxidant turmeric serum. Affordable, accessible and effective. Bloody brilliant, actually.

My skin tone/colouring: Porcelain with pink undertones

Favourite look you worn: We had a couple of days of spring/sunny weather last week, so I had to get out some really summery clothes. My favourite look was using my ‘old’ Guerlain Les Aquas – Soft grey all over the lid, the dark blue on the lower lid and a tiny bit of the bright aqua hue in the corners. It’s a very bright shade, so you have to be careful with it. I paired it with an EA lipstick Rustic Red – gorgeous brick red shade.

Most used product of the week: All my staples.

Any new beauty discoveries: Yes, Priceline is not carrying any more Physicians Formula products and I am sad about this because I love their Argon Oil.
