Comments that do not adhere to our comment policy may be removed. Discussion and debate are highly encouraged but we expect community members to participate respectfully. Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

My skin tone/coloring: fair, cool
Favorite look you wore: (Christine, would it be a lot of work to change that typo to “wore” or take out the “you” and leave “worn”?) – IT CC cream, MAC Studio Water Weight concealer (NW20), Hourglass Veil loose powder to set both, Smashbox Minimalist palette (Vanilla, Deco, Java for the outer lid and crease, Nude to blend out) and Sephora Cappuccino liner pencil to line; MAC Sweet Sentiment blush and Chanel Pirate on my lips
Most used product of the week: Chanel Pirate lipstick and Smashbox Minimalist e/s palette
Any new beauty discoveries: the Minimalist and Punked palettes from Smashbox

lol That typo annoys me every time I see it, and I feel compelled to change it in my replies every week. Thank you for asking so nicely about getting it fixed.

I just got the Punked palette, too. I can’t wait to try it out. I think it will be a cool-toned palette that will actually be flattering on me. It seems like it would be right up your alley, and it would look really pretty on you.

Skin Tone/Coloring: Light neutral skin, green eyes, salt & pepper hair

Favorite Look: This week I gave my eyelids some much-needed rest and didn’t wear any eyeshadow, so I challenged myself to wear some MAC lipsticks that I haven’t worn in a long time. EYES: Diorshow Brow Styler and Clinique Brow Shaper, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes. FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, NARS Orgasm Blush, ABH Pink Heart Highlighter from Moonchild Glow Kit. LIPS: MAC Twig.

Most Used Product: Diorshow Brow Styler, Clinique Brow Shaper, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, NARS Orgasm Blush, and MAC lipsticks (different shades each day).

Discoveries: Nothing new, but I rediscovered two lipsticks that I used to adore, but haven’t worn in a very long time: Ladybug and Twig. (Other MAC lipsticks from this challenge were Craving, Verve, and Chili.)

My skin tone/coloring: Medium w/ olive undertones, MAC NC37, Lancome Teint Idole 24H Foundation N360, deep brunette, blue-green eyes w/ gold flecks.

Favorite look you worn: Yesterday, having been inspired by swatches of ABH Sultry palette! Eyes: MAC Orb browbone, Kid transition and lower lashline , UD Tease crease and lower lashline, Busted deep crease blown upwards and out, Verve inner corner and tear duct, YDK inner and mid lid, Blackout to define and deepen outer crease, usual black WP mascara, tightline and wing, UD Corrupt 24/7 liner on lower lashline. Cheeks: WnW Bronze Dynasty, MAC Burnt Pepper blush and Ofra Glazed Donut highlighter. Lips: Nyx Mahogany Slim Lip Pencil and MAC It’s Just Candy Grand Illusion Lipglass.

Most used product of the week: Skincare! And foundation, WP mascara, brow powder and pencil.

Any new beauty discoveries: That if I try hard enough, I can talk myself out of buying the bulk of new products by checking for dupes or even seeing at a glance that I can do the same eye look that I love on someone else using a brand new product just by examining my own stash. This self-talk down off the ledge of “buying all the things” has been a necessary step for me to take. Space is at a premium here, plus I’m planning a move in March 2019. Gotta save for that!

Ditto Nancy on the no buying. The “vanity” has been sooo helpful for me in that area. It’s really helped me narrow down and Christine’s rating, plus a review or two elsewhere helped in finalizing that a lot of palette I just don’t need.

I’m with both of you. I’m very proud of myself. I was in Sephora yesterday and only purchased a mascara and the Shisedo cotton squares. I don’t “need” any more eye palettes, blushes, lip products or highlighters. My money can be put to better use elsewhere.

Was sick as a dog this week and still am not up to par; so your site and makeup research has helped me feel a little happiness this week, which was thus a no makeup wearing, no makeup buying week (miracles do happen even in bad moments) . 😉

My skin tone/coloring: Very fair with neutral undertones; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.

Favorite look you wore: EYES — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. Too Faced Razzle Dazzle Berry Tutti Frutti Eyeshadow Palette: Boys N Berry (crease), That’s My Jam (inner 1/3 of lid), Razzle (middle of lid), Bad to the Berry (outer 1/3 of lid; true crease over Boys N Berry; foiled on lower lash line), Dazzle (brow bone). Too Faced Sugar Cookie Palette: Nom Nom (inner corner). NYX Slim Eye Pencil in Black (upper and lower waterlines). Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin Mascara. BROWS — powder from e.l.f. Brow Kit in Medium Brown. LIPS — UD x Kristen Leanne Vice Lipstick in Cloud 9 lined with BH Cosmetics Waterproof Lip Liner in Brazen. CHEEKS — UD Afterglow Blush in Bittersweet. FACE — NYX Angel Veil Skin Perfecting Primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; e.l.f. HD Powder; Sephora Tranquil (contour); MUG Highlighter in Celestial; e.l.f. Original Mist & Set.

Most used product of the week: Lady Gaga Fame Black Fluid rollerball fragrance

Any new beauty discoveries: There’s a real learning curve to the Razzle Dazzle Berry palette. I could not get the two creamy shades to work with anything other than my fingers. Boys n Berry was hard to blend out, but I really buffed at it, and it turned out quite pretty. I’m definitely going to try a base shade or setting powder underneath it next time. It looked so pretty on my eyes, I want to keep using it.
