Please keep discussion on-topic, and if you have general feedback, a product review request, an off-topic question, or need technical support, please contact us!

Please help us streamline the comments' section and be more efficient: double-check the post above for more basic information like pricing, availability, and so on to make sure your question wasn't answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but will typically be removed after errors are fixed (unless a response is needed).

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

My skin tone/coloring: Fair, cool

Favorite look you worn: Jenna’s Essentials, a Clinique e/s quad that I think has been discontinued, has been a standby this week and makes for a simple and flattering eye look. Sephora Cappuccino pencil to line and Marc Jacobs skinny black liner to tighline. Dior Rosy Glow blush and MAC Red Necessity lipstick

Most used product of the week: – snore….Dior Rosy Glow Blush and the Jenna’s Essentials quad.

Any new beauty discoveries: Smashbox Red Rage Be Legendary Lipstick – such a pretty colour, and also Dior Forever Foundation. So far, I am loving this foundation.

Skin tone: Very pale with cool undertones, NW 5-10

Favorite look: I used Sephora Tranquil to create a monochromatic look. I put Tranquil all over my mobile lid and extended it up to just above my natural crease. I blended additional tranquil into my crease to make it appear deeper than over my lid. I used a very small amount of ABH Love Letter to deepen the crease and put Vermeer as my brow bone and tear duct highlight. I also used a very small amount of Becca Pearl just under my brows to brighten up a little. I used the same Tranquility to contour my cheeks and used Nars Sin for my blush. I used ColourPop Lumiere Lippy Stick. It was a very winter appropriate look.

Most used product: Clinique Moisture Surge Spray and Chosungah 22 foundation.

New beauty discoveries: None.

My skin tone/coloring:
Light neutral

Favorite look you wore:
Neutral eye using the light and mid-tone shades in the Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette, lots of black mascara (Cover Girl Clump Crusher), Clinique Blushing Blush in Cupid, and a bold lip with Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lipstick in Boudoir.

Most used product of the week:
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet lipstick, alternating days between the shades La Raffinee and Libre. I’m so in love with this formula! I wish I could afford more shades.

Any new beauty discoveries:
I bought the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea 2 eyeshadow palette months ago, but never used it and even regretted buying it. Yesterday, I decided to give it a try and at first I didn’t like it because I didn’t feel it was pigmented enough, but I wound up with a very nice neutral look that lasted all day (worn on top of NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer), so I’m going to use this palette more often from now on. Also, I tried a sample of Mon Guerlain perfume and I can’t stop sniffing my wrists! I may put it on my Christmas wish list.

This is my most worn look of the week! I did a soft, Smokey blended out winged eye look using taupe, and plum shades!

A neutral blush was used (tarte paaarty!) And a neutral lip! (BITE liquid lip in chutney!)

Most used product of the week: my custom eye shadow palette! It’s a small 12 pan magnetic palette, with some Colourpop, mac, mini MUFE and coastal scents shadows! And it’s perfection for me!

Genevieve, your comment about my complexion made my day! I used to have severe cystic acne, and after 2 years, my skin is finally fully healed, and almost all of my scarring is gone!! In the photo I linked, I even had no foundation on! So for you to say that makes me feel very proud!!!

Genevieve Avatar

Shannon, your complexion is just stunning and what an effort to get that cystic acne under control. I know this because my youngest son had severe cystic acne and I took him straight to a dermatologist so that it could be healed without scarring. Today he really looks after his skin and it is flawless too.
Well done!

My skin tone/coloring: NC20 / NW20

Most used product of the week: Sephora sleeping mask in Algae.

Any new beauty discoveries: Testing a sample of Chanel Blue Serum, am liking it so far after 2 uses to the sample, may seek out 2-3 more samples to give it a better trial. I’ve been going through my makeup and fragrances, culling out a lot of items for discard-giveaway-sale, and it’s still nowhere near a “curated” or minimalist collection though I love the concept of those. As of today, I’m expecting to sit out the Sephora sale this month, having more than enough of everything I need — this is a good thing, a very good thing!

Colouring: I never know how to describe this! I tend to wear foundation from warm beige tone.
Favourite look : am panning Benefit Dallas powder (I got to the stage where powder was clinging to the outsides of the box so crushed it into a loose powder to finish it) and have been pairing it with Marc Jacobs Infamous lipstick.
Most used Product: as above plus a Smashbox shadow from the Full Exposure palette that I’m trying to hit pan on. Has a sizeable dip going at least.
I bought a Bare Minerals Moxie lipgloss to try the formula because I thought it was one that I saw on YouTube but it wasn’t. That was Gen Nude I have realised. The Moxie was a little drying on my lips. Will have to try it with Balm underneath.
