Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat Eyeshadow Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Naked Petite Heat
Urban Decay Naked Petite Heat 6-Pan Naked Eyeshadow Palette ($29.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, travel-friendly warm-toned palette with five mattes and one shimmer. It launches on February 22nd on urbandecay.com and will be in-stores the first week of March.
I liked the palette, but I didn’t love it; the shades didn’t come together as distinctively on the lid as I thought they would. It was less the quality and more the ability to create more than one or two looks out of it (that didn’t look too same-same).

Inhale
Inhale is light beige with warm, yellow undertones and a satin sheen. The texture was somewhat powdery in the pan, but it seemed to apply well to bare skin without sheering out too readily. It had opaque pigmentation and blended out nicely. It wore well for eight hours.

The formula is typically described as "high-pigment" that "stays on your lids" and goes on "seamlessly." Their permanent range has a lot of fantastic shades in it, and many of them are pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing. Some of their matte are real workhorse kind of shades with soft, smooth, silky, and blendable textures, while their shimmers and pearly shades are very rich in payoff and apply beautifully to the lid. They wear between seven and nine hours on me, depending on the shade and finish.

It is pretty but I developed sensisitivity to red pigment eye shadows. I have to be careful with very warm browns and oranges that lean red, my eyes turn an itchy watery mess…
I do enjoy both Naked basics palettes I have, but those are safe. Might still get this one for my daughter. 🙂
Aw, that’s a bummer! Pretty eye looks, Christine!
I was considering this one as the original Heat is a little intense on my fair complexion and I love the Naked2 Basics palette.
Money saved — thank you! Not knowing the in-store timing, I had an eye out for this this morning, and now with the so so review I am glad I didn’t find it
I always like the idea of these smaller palettes for travel, but when I have at least 4 dupes of every shade, I just can’t justify buying it for the sake of convenience (especially if performance isn’t spectacular).
It’s pretty but these colors look too repetitive to the full size naked heat palette. I just don’t feel that I need both.
Wasn’t the lack of contrast between shades also a common complaint about the original Heat palette? Anyways, I don’t really like warm shades so it’s an easy pass for me.
I don’t believe I need this one at all. Having CP Yes, Please palette definitely fills that spot. Or, I could just pop shades like MAC Bamboo, Soft Brown, Brown Script, and several CP singles into my MUFE XL magnetic Palette and acheive the same effect with better quality.
I wish I could justify buying this! These colors are so flattering on me and I don’t have anything exactly like it.
I plan on getting this. I think the shades nicely fill in some of the shade gaps in the Naked Heat palette, and this would be a good warm-toned palette for travel.
I really like it ::sheepishlook:: I know we all have WTF (Warm Tone Fatigue) but I haven’t purchased any of the recent warm toned palettes and this appeals to me for its ease of use. I really super love my Naked 2 Basics so I can see liking this. That said, I do have some warm MUFE matte singles, so I probably shouldn’t jump on this just yet. I don’t wear orange and red tones on a daily basis.
I love WTF for Warm Tone Fatigue! The exhaustion is real.
Thanks goodnes for your reviews. It was in my purchase list. Not anymore !!
Not worth buying.
Whilst not a fan of these shades, I can see how it would be a companion to Naked Basics 1 & 2, plus complement Naked Heat. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of contrast between a few of the shades either, but that was also a problem for the Heat palette as well.
Beautiful eye look Christine.
i feel like naked heat had the same same look problem too. too bad they didn’t fix that with the petite. i usually prefer to travel with a more neutral palette so this it’ll be an easy pass for me.
p.s. can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the star lit palette & i’ve been loving the best brushes for x series. i love how detailed it is and how you include usage!
Most of the dupes for Strike are gold instead of a deep red/purple brown. I think it accidentally got mixed up with another older shadow called Strike.
This is fixed now! I didn’t remember that UD had a shade called Strike previously.
I think if they’d come out with this much sooner there would be a lot more interest in it. A little late in the day for more of these colors for many of us.
With the over saturation of warm-toned palettes, I really don’t know if I’m going to get this. The look and size is perfect! Though I’m sure everyone and their neighbors already have at least 3 similar palettes already.
I bought mine and had to return it. It’s chalky and dry. Maybe that’s just cause I bought it in Europe, but I wouldn’t recommend this.
