Empress is a medium-dark, burnt orange with warm undertones and a matte finish. The color payoff was fantastic--a little went a long way--but was blendable and easy to work with on the lid. It had a soft, smooth consistency that wasn't too soft or too firm in the pan, so I didn't have any issues with fallout or blending. This shade started to fade after eight hours of wear.
