Urban Decay Midnight Cowgirl Revolution High-Color Lipgloss ($22.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as a “soft nude with gold shimmer.” It’s a muted, light-medium rosy beige with a hint of gold sparkle. It had semi-sheer color payoff that applied unevenly and with visible streaks. The color settled into lip lines immediately, and this only worsened as the color wore on. This shade only lasted for three hours on me. MAC Keep It Light (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). MAC Fashion Whim (LE, $20.00) is cooler (95% similar). MAC Kind Kiss (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery (95% similar). NARS Instant Crash (LE, $26.00) is warmer (90% similar). Sephora Cappuccino (02) (P, $12.00) is darker, more muted, warmer (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Bardot Beige (P, $22.00) is warmer (90% similar). Anastasia Dainty (-, $16.00) is lighter, brighter, more pigmented (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds (L.S.D.) (LE, $22.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). MAC Pleasure First (LE, $20.00) is lighter (90% similar). Urban Decay Frenemy Revolution High-Color Lipgloss ($22.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as a “hot pink with iridescent blue shift.” It’s a bright, medium-dark fuchsia pink with subtle, cool undertones and iridescent sparkle. It had semi-opaque color coverage with a lightweight consistency that applied fairly evenly and smoothly. This shade wore for four and a half hours and was moisturizing. Urban Decay Big Bang (DC, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Becca Snapdragon (P, $22.00) is lighter (90% similar). Burberry Oxblood No. 23 (P, $29.00) is less shimmery, lighter, brighter (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Studded Kiss (310) (DC, $28.00) is darker (90% similar). MAC Prepare for Pleasure (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery, lighter, brighter (80% similar). MAC Pleasant (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery, lighter, brighter (80% similar). NARS Quito (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, lighter, brighter (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Urban Decay Snitch Revolution High-Color Lipgloss ($22.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as a “bright coral.” It’s a bright, light-medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had mostly opaque color payoff with a creamy, smooth consistency, but this shade did appear somewhat streaky overall. The gloss lasted for four and a half hours, but I noticed some color pull into lip lines over time. The formula was hydrating while worn. NYX Napoleon (P, $5.99) is darker (90% similar). NARS Conquest (LE, $26.00) is cooler (90% similar). Dior Tiny Pink (269) (P, $35.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Kiss & Don't Tell (LE, $21.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). NARS Rapture (LE, $26.00) is darker (90% similar). Maybelline Caramel Infused (065) (P, $8.99) is lighter, more muted (90% similar). MAC Pink Lemonade (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, lighter, warmer (90% similar). Urban Decay Flushed (P, $19.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). MAC Go for Girlie (LE, $20.00) is cooler (90% similar). Anastasia Candy Coral (-, $16.00) is darker (90% similar). NARS Super Orgasm (P, $26.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). NYX Sorbet (P, $5.99) is lighter (85% similar). Too Faced Peach Tease (P, $19.00) is darker, warmer (85% similar). ColourPop Bobbidi (LE, $10.00) is less shimmery, more muted (85% similar). NARS Playpen (P, $26.00) is darker, more muted, warmer (85% similar). Makeup by Mario Hot Pink (P, $24.00) is cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Urban Decay Shadowheart Revolution High-Color Lipgloss ($22.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as a “brown with gold shimmer.” It’s a muted, dark, plummy brown with gold sparkle. It had semi-opaque coverage that went on evenly, though this one seemed to emphasize lip lines a little compared to other, smoother shades (perhaps it’s the deeper color?). The consistency was smooth, comfortable to wear, and easy to apply. This shade lasted for four and a half hours and was hydrating. MAC Hyper-Fabulous (LE, $20.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). NARS Asphalt Jungle (LE, $26.00) is more shimmery, lighter (85% similar). NARS Mars (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). Chanel Intrigue (P, $30.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Makeup Geek Set List (P, $15.00) is more shimmery, cooler (85% similar). Chanel Audace (20) (LE, $34.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (85% similar). NARS Noise (LE, $26.00) is less shimmery, lighter, brighter (80% similar). Bite Beauty Oyster Pearl (DC, $22.00) is more shimmery, lighter (80% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Shooting Stars (316) (DC, $28.00) is lighter, warmer (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Urban Decay Revolution High-Color Lipgloss ($22.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is supposed to give “high coverage” in “one coat” with a “creamy” texture that is also hydrating. Some shades are less opaque (nowhere near one coat pigmentation!) and a few could have applied more evenly. The glosses feel creamy, almost gel-like, as they’re so smooth, initially, but all of them developed tackiness over time, which helped them to wear longer than the average gloss with a range of four to six hours of wear. The formula was hydrating for me, and it is comfortable to wear as long as tackiness isn’t a deal-breaker for you. I didn’t notice any taste, and there is a very subtle sweet, vanilla scent that I can only detect when I open the tube and have my nose right at the opening.

I’m glad I decided to grab Shadowheart when I saw the preview swatches! It’s supposed to come in the mail today and I can’t wait to try it out!

OMG! Shadowheart! I’ve gotta get it! It doesn’t look OTT to me! I really am loving frenemy and Snitch too. But , that Shadowheart. I must have. I’ve been thinking about that one since the initial swatches! lol

I’m embarrassed to admit that part of me is happy to see the lousy review for Midnight Cowgirl. I think it’s because I’m still slightly traumatized by Midnight Cowboy shadow… used that sucker *once*, and I swear six months later I was still finding glitter in my underwear!

(^Mostly joking. *Mostly*^)

Loving all but one, Midnight Cowgirl. This could get expensive, huh? ?
Snitch immediately made it onto my wishlist, so it’ll likely be first. Frenemie just looks so cool with all its sparkle and duochromey-ness! Shadowheart is so chocolatey and rich, great for either autumn/winter or for more earthy looks. Ugh, I’m in deep with these!

When UD first launched these new shades, I bought them immediately. I was most excited for Midnight Cowgirl. I love the eyeshadow so much that I thought the lip gloss would be the perfect addition to my makeup kit. I was so disappointed in the lip gloss. It lacked pigment, was very hard to get product out of the tube, and didn’t show up on my lips. I nearly took out the plastic stopper from the tube to see if that would help me get product out. Needless to say, that entire package went back to Urban Decay. Huge disappointment. 🙁

Glad to see Frenemy and Shadowheart did well. Those were the most interesting to me.

Shame about Midnight Cowgirl. In general, I’ve been a fan of the Midnight ___ lip products, because they tend to be sheer enough to be universally wearable, and I like sparkle.

I have a couple of these including either Frenemy or Big Bang. They are similar in color. I have a couple of other milestones red.

Oh, Snitch is sooooo pretty 🙂 I don’t currently own any of the dupes you mentioned, Christine, so I think I’ll pick this one up. It’s a shame that Midnight Cowgirl isn’t better; I can always find room for another neutral, nude gloss, but certainly not one with a “D” rating 🙁

Well, no surprise that I love Frenemy, given how I feel about Big Bang! But since I already have Big Bang in two different formulations, plus the Gwen lippy Firebird, I don’t think I need another bright pink right now.
