Urban Decay Indecent Afterglow 8-Hour Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Urban Decay Indecent Afterglow 8-Hour Blush
Urban Decay Indecent Afterglow 8-Hour Blush ($26.00 for 0.23 oz.) is described as a “light peachy nude.” It’s a light-medium, peach-orange with warm undertones and a satin finish. Urban Decay Kinky (P, $26.00) is more shimmery, darker. NYX Soft Spoken (P, $6.50) is pinker. Sephora + Pantone Universe Coral Pink (LE) is lighter. Too Faced Luminous Peach (LE) is more shimmery. Chanel Caresse (180) (LE, $45.00) is similar. YSL Rebelle (7) (P, $47.00) is darker. Makeup Geek Smitten (P, $9.99) is similar. Givenchy In Vogue Orange (P, $44.00) is darker. MAC Cream Soda (LE, $21.00) is pinker. MAC Ripe Peach (LE, $32.00) is darker. Illamasqua Lover (P, $26.00) is brighter, darker. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Urban Decay’s describes their powder blush formula as having “buildable color” with a “blendable, finely milled” texture that will wear for “eight long hours.” This shade had semi-sheer to opaque color coverage possible, depending on how many layers you applied or whether you used a more densely-packed brush. It was easily built-up or diffused if you felt like you over-applied. The texture had a silky, smooth feeling to it that kicked up a little bit of excess powder in the pan, but it didn’t look powdery on the skin. As you buff and blend the color, the satiny finish comes through–just enough sheen to give it a natural, skin-like finish that doesn’t get too matte but is never shimmery. As it is a very light color, it will tend to be a better pick for lighter complexions, as even though it buildable to fuller coverage, it may not give a lot of visible color to darker complexions–it is subtle on me (light-medium). It wore well for eight hours before fading slightly.

It’s so nice that there are colors in this collection to suit the very fair-skinned. This is a nice basic peach.
There definitely are a lot of options for fairer skin tones in this range!
I like this one. In you photo, is this one swipe? I guess I am asking ,do you think it could be built to more visible? Thanks! 🙂
On the face, it’s probably two layers!
That is really pretty. I love your eye look here too!
Thanks, Erin!
Sorry, this has nothing to do with the blush, but that eye look is frickin’ amazing! You keep posting from that same day, and every day I’m reminded that I have to copy. That’s like, one of my favorites you’ve ever done. Ok, rave over!
Aww, thank you, Kat! xo
Another one that isn’t wowing me at all. Why bother releasing such a poorly pigmented blush, especially in a new collection? I’d rather spend my hard-earned cash on a big, wet fart. At least that would be somewhat less disappointing!
UD’s approach is a more buildable formula – so I think they were pretty consistent with that, IMO, of course!
No offense to you, but I always feel like flipping Urban Decay the bird every time they come out with a new collection. I’m going to pay attention to other companies this year just to see if the rest jump on the ‘buildable’ excuse when they release poorly done products. Wouldn’t surprise me in the least. Sorry, but I’m not at all into this company. Overhyped beyond all comprehension IMO 🙂
Pretty!
Agreed!
This looks so pretty!! Im pretty fair complexed, so this will hopefully be perfect(: It should be here tomorrow!
Hope you love it, Sierra!
