Urban Decay Fetish Afterglow 8-Hour Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Urban Decay Fetish Afterglow 8-Hour Blush
Urban Decay Fetish Afterglow 8-Hour Blush ($26.00 for 0.23 oz.) is described as a “medium pink nude.” It’s a muted, medium-dark rosy pink with subtle, warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. Chanel Crescendo (250) (LE, $45.00) is lighter, brighter. Physicians Formula Natural (P, $12.99) is lighter. Tarte Irreplaceable (LE, $26.00) is darker, brighter. Chanel Innocence (160) (P, $45.00) is lighter. MAC Cheeky Bugger (LE, $21.00) is lighter. Make Up For Ever #310 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is a cream product. theBalm Houndstooth (P, $22.00) is brighter. NYX Mauve (P, $5.00) is a touch lighter. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
The formula is supposed to have “buildable color” with a “blendable, finely milled” texture and “eight long hours” of wear. The texture is, indeed, finely-milled with a very silky, smooth consistency that can get a little powdery. This particular shade seemed thinner and dustier, where it was prone to sheering out and didn’t stick to the skin as well as the other shades I’ve tried in the range. The coverage was sheer to semi-opaque, but it’ll take a few layers for medium or darker skin tones to see visible color on their skin tone. Luckily, despite the powderiness, it doesn’t look powdery on the skin, and as it is blended on the skin, it takes on that satin-matte finish that’s natural without flattening the skin. On me, it stayed on well for seven and a half hours before it faded noticeably.

Fetish was the shade I wanted the most but now I am not sure…It doesn’t look that unique.
There are definitely some dupes for it!
It’s not “unique”, and I have several similar shades, as this is what I typically go for. However, this formula is talc-free, so I’ll most likely will pick it up soon (I just have to decide if I want some of these first, or the Clinique Cheek Pops, LOL!).
Hmmmmm.
Okay.
Hmmmmm.
*puts on pensive face*
You know, I’m not sure about this shade anymore. After I saw the preview I thought I’d love it but now that I see it on your skin tone I’m starting to doubt whether it would suit me. Guess I’ll have to try it in store first.
Hope you can try it!
Lovely and very natural-looking. I really like this one.
Happy to hear it 🙂
I like this. But,again the 7.5 wear time is killing it for me. A nice, plum blush is MIA from my stash. Clinique’s plum pop has been on my list to fill the void. The Balm’s looks nice too. Love your Dupe list! I am completely overwhelmed with blush now(sure you are too!) . But, by fall, I will be ready for a plum contender. Which would you chose Christine for a plum blush?
If you put Clinique in the mix, I’ll almost always pick Clinique… unless there’s Tom Ford.
Hhaha! I would chose Tom Ford too! I have all the permanent Tom ford powder blushes except Frantic pink. Is there one you consider plum? Ravish? I think I’ll need to add Plum Pop anyhow at some point. That’s like tennis shoes and heels..both are stapes.:D
Wicked is kind of like a brightened, plummy-pink and then Ravish is more that really warm, reddish-brown (so sort of plum).
Well,I do have plums then! And I picked up Plum pop at the Sephora sale as well!
YAY!
This is exactly the color I gravitate towards! Love it!
That’s awesome to hear!
This look so lovely on you! Can’t wait to try it!
Yay!
Such a pretty blush! I wasn’t going to pick anything up from this line, but now I might have to…..
Uh oh! 😉
Wow…..that’s seriously disappointing once swatched! Not at all what I would’ve expected. Thanks for saving me even more cash 🙂
No problem, Sandra!
Now that I’m looking at my screen in different lighting, it doesn’t look so bad….looks great on you. But I’ve got a million blushes that are very close to this, if not identical, so I’m passing on these. Urban Decay has never turned my crank. Anything I ever purchased from them got returned. This is no exception. I know I’d return it. Regardless, thanks again 🙂 If not for you, I’d be spending a lot more than I normally do.
So I admittedly may have missed this in a previous post but…are all the colors relaunches? I have this shade in the original little purple circular compact-though based on your review my version, even after all this time seems to perform better-but I’m curious if the order offerings had a previous life as well?
I’m not really sure – I don’t have UD’s previously blushes before, but I am sure they’ve brought back some, at least technically.
My favorite shade of the older blushes! Like Score and Quickie, I’ll definitely be picking this one up too! 😀
Is it a dupe for Tarte Exposed blush? I can not judge from the Swatch Gallery. Thank you for your time.
I think Exposed is more brown-based!
