What celebrity and brand would you love to see collaborate for a collection?

What celebrity and brand would you love to see collaborate for a collection? Share!

You know, the first person that popped up in my mind was Shirley Manson (from the band Garbage) probably paired with a brand like OCC or Urban Decay.

Thanks to Nikki for today’s question! Do you have a question idea? Submit yours here.

Lucy Hale and MAC. Her makeup is stunning, fresh and flawless. Pink and MAC would be great too. She’s so strong and beautiful. Angelina Jolie and NARS could be stunning too. So classy.

Honestly none of them. I always find that celebrity tie-ins cheapen a product. I’m not a big celebrity follower in general, though. That said, I could go for something inspired by/ in collaboration with certain artists or even film directors. I’d love to see something inspired by David Lynch.

Gareth Pugh with NARS. Or RuPaul with NARS. I know both have collaborated with MAC already buuut I want to see what Francois Nars would do. Maybe a Katy Perry with MAC, I think she would come up with pretty fun colors!

Amelia Avatar

Dita Von Teese. She’s so beautiful and vintage collection is amazing. Also an xmen collection, I’m a huge comicbook fan so to see one made after all the important women of the xmen would be awesome

I know James Jean already did a collaboration with Prada years ago—for their RTW line—but I would love to see his pretty illustrations on my compacts and palettes. And Urban Decay would be the perfect makeup brand! I’d sell an arm and a leg if it would mean that I could purchase the Electric Palette with his illustration on the packaging.

My Girl Crush–Marion Cotillard should team up with Dior. She wears their clothing so well I can only imagine that a makeup collection featuring her would be spectacular!

My understanding is no decision as been released. There is an online petition with 30k signatures trying to get Mac to do it. I hope! !!

Maggie Smith and Make Up For Ever. She is wonderful in Downton Abbey, and pictures of her illustrate that age makes your face look more interesting. I’d love to see a collection that shows that you can have texture issues with your skin due to age and still wear color and look beautiful, and Make Up For Ever is a brand that could pull that off well.

Julianna Marguelles(?),the star of the series, “The Good Wife” hooking up with Armani, because of her impeccable personal style that is so New York chic and Victoria (former Spice Girl) Beckim(?) connecting with Guerlain, for clean, polished neutrals. Is this way too boring (and why can’t i spell anyone’s last name correctly???)

Lilac Avatar

I agree on Julianna Margulies and Armani would fit to her, however, I have no interest in Armani make-up whatsoever (too expensive, too), so I would prefer her to team up with MAC (I don’t think UD would be right and they are my other favs). 🙂 If it has to be a designer brand then I could live with Chanel (though I probably would not buy it, either but I find them a little bit more accesible than Armani). Estee Lauder might fit to her image on the show, too.

Yes!
…and also SpongeBob SquarePants × M·A·C.
I want Patrick-colored blush, SpongeBob-colored nailpolish, Sandy-colored bronzer, Squidward-colored primer, Plankton-colored eyeliner, Pearl-colored highlighter, Mr. Crab-colored lipstick and guess what, you can even make an eyeshadow quad just by the background colors! Just kidding, we don’t want an eyeshadow quad, bring Mega Metal Eyeshadow back!

I wish Crayola would just branch out and create their own line, LOL! I’ve seen a few kiddie/tween products, but it would be awesome to see some grownup products in sleek packaging! Can you imagine a 64 box of eye & lip pencils based on the existing crayon shades?

Kelvene Avatar

i second this! love scandal and she is one of my fav actress..a collection by her i wouldn’t pass up..deeper skin tones need some loving too

Marc Almond & MAC or NARS. MAC would be the more “appropriate” choice, as they tend to collaboratewith more obscure/unknown people. Marc Almond uses a lot of color references & imagery in his songs, so I can see several sub-sets ranging from soft, ethereal pastels to bold brights to sultry & vampy. MAC also has a vast range of formulas, which specific shade & formula combos would be amazing. Then again, I can see a collaboration with NARS base around Absinthe-The French Album, which can use the Undress Me Multiple as a starting point!

Cyndi Lauper & MUFE
Janelle Monae & Hourglass
Katy Perry & NYX
Maneet Chauhan form Chopped & Clinique (MOAR CHEEK POPS!1)
Gaga & UD
Amber Rose & NARS

I would love a collection with a well known beauty blogger and a brand, instead of some unknown DJ or fashion designer – like Karen from makeupandbeautyblog with MAC or vampyvarnish with OPI 🙂

Yes! A Shirley Manson collab with any brand would be awesome although I’d lean towards urban decay or MAC. And while there are a lot of cool celeb possibilities my dream would be to one day have an Elvira with MAC collection. Haha never gonna happen but cool color possibilities!

I think everyone’s waiting for a real Beyoncé collab! Since I don’t support MAC anymore, I’m not sure what brand though… I thought of NARS first but they never make any fun packaging and Beyoncé’s couldn’t do plain black! Would love to see a Lana del Rey collab too, maybe with Charlotte Tillbury, her packaging and names seems to fit Lana’s image 🙂

Veronica Avatar

Oooh, that’s a good one, Christine. I think Anastasia would do well to team up with Lily Collins or Cara Delevingne. A brand known for the brows using ladies known for their brows.

miekogirlie99 Avatar

i don’t really keep up with celebrities but i would totally buy into a Marvel – Civil war or DC Justice league collection 😀 but that’s just the geek in my LOL

I wish I had thought of this. Wonderful, wonderful idea. I was talking to my honey about how well a Fight Club collection would do even though that move is like 15 years old, and Helena is such an underrated part of that movie’s appeal.

Lilac Avatar

Also I would like to see a Downton Abbey collection in general; they go through a lot of looks over the “decades”, though it is more about clothes and hairstyle, as people did not wear so much make-up until maybe the 1920s and also then you see it more on the younger cast than on the older (Maggie Smith & Penelope Wilton).
Of course they wear make-up for the filming but especially for the early years it had to appear very invisible and natural (as if they weren’t using any, though of course they do wear blush, for example).

But the collection could use 20s and 40s looks, that would be nice 🙂

It is just hard for me to decide on the brand, because even though for example Chanel or Givenchy might fit to the theme, too, there is only a small range of brands I buy from nowadays (mostly because I seem to be allergic to basically everything), and since I can’t really see Too Faced or Kat von D with Downton Abbey (or maybe KvD after all, with all the baroque looks), my personal preference would go to MAC or UD.

I know Lady Gaga did a MAC Viva Glam lipstick, but I would love to see her do a whole collection with some wild colors and great eyeliners. Gwen Stefani (always flawless makeup) and Urban Decay, since she recently was in their ads for the charity, and she was a devotee of Gash back in the day. CoCo Rocha and NARS: I think her personal style in fashion and makeup is interesting, and I’d like to see what she’d come up with.

SandraJT Avatar

Shirley Manson would be amazing! Would love to see RuPaul work with MAC again. Even some of the winners of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Somebody mentioned David Lynch, definitely. ROB ZOMBIE!! Now THAT would be a wild collection, especially since he’s completely into the horror genre of films.

Brianna Avatar

I’d really love Zooey Deschanel with NARS! I think it’d be a mix of mod sixties and chill skin and lips. Like really beautiful eyes.

Alison Avatar

I’m not sure about celebrities, but I’d personally like to see a big collaboration with someone like you, Temptalia! That, or perhaps a group collaboration with models with various skin tones coming out with their perfect, flattering power red/power lipstick – or even a group of beauty bloggers (You could recreate Dragon for everyone who misses it, Temptalia!). If there was a variety of skin tones (warm and cool, women of color, different hair colors, etc), then we could all find someone with a similar look and have a lipstick that was flattering on us!

Raquel Welch and Guerlain.
Diana Ross and Nars.
Natalie Portman and Bobbi Brown.
Gisele Bundchen and Laura Mercer.
Meghan Trainor and MAC.
