Urban Decay Beso, Snitch, Bang Hi-Fi Shine Lip Glosses Reviews & Swatches
Beso
Urban Decay Beso Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss ($20.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy plum with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. The pigmentation was good, though definitely not opaque in one layer. The consistency was lightweight, smoothing, and comfortable to wear as it felt plusher and more gel-like without being sticky. This shade stayed on well for four and a half hours and was lightly hydrating while worn.

Formula Overview
$20.00/0.23 oz. - $86.96 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "ultra-shiny" with a "cushiony-soft" texture that has "long-lasting wear that's comfortable, not tacky." They are scented with "vanilla-mint," which I did detect, and I could taste slightly (more like a vague sweetness). There was a slight minty tingle upon initial application, but it was very subtle and more of a cooling sensation than anything painful.
The strength of the formula is the texture of the gloss--more gel-like with a plushness that often smoothed out my lip lines rather than settled into them as some glosses are prone to do. Most shades applied well, were comfortable to wear, and lasted between three and five hours on me with light hydration.
The coverage varies based on finish, with "Sheer Cream" having the sheerest coverage and "Cream" having "pigment-rich" coverage (opaque). The two other finishes--Holographic and Metallized--are supposed to have more medium, buildable coverage, per the brand. I think that the brand could have done a better job describing the coverage levels both by finish as well as by shade, though.

Snitch
Urban Decay Snitch Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss ($20.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a bright, medium pink-coral with a cream finish. It had good color payoff, but the gloss did not apply evenly and I could see slight streaking along the edges or if I pressed my lips together, a slight line would be visible. It did not emphasize my lip lines, which was nice, though. The texture was lightweight, smooth, and gel-like with very minimal tackiness. It wore well for four and a half hours and was lightly moisturizing.

Bang
Urban Decay Bang Hi-Fi Shine Ultra Cushion Lip Gloss ($20.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a medium red with warm undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that did not apply that evenly, and it did sit in my lip lines a bit (particularly compared to other shades in the formula). The texture seemed slightly thinner and not as plush, though it was still more gel-like and did not feel tacky. It lasted for five hours and was lightly hydrating.

Beso is quite pretty. I’ve been debating the idea of trying a lipgloss, since my love affair with mattes seems to be winding down. I like that Beso doesn’t seem too goopy, which is my main fear about lipgloss. I might give this one a try.
I just bought Beso…the first lipgloss I’ve bought in decades (literally).
It’s very nice. Not sticky, like the old school lipgloss I remember, which has kept me away from them for so long. Gorgeous color. And the yummy, slightly tingly mint scent is delicious. Now, I’ve only been wearing it for about 10 minutes, but so far I’m very happy with this purchase!
I’m loving how flattering most of these are! Is the streaking more visible in person? I only ask because the photos don’t look TOO bad. (Granted, I’m also just starting to break into lip products, so I may not just have the eye for it yet.)
I really like Beso but I have an aversion to doefeet. Can anyone recommend something similar in bullet form? Thanks!
It looks a bit like Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Rapture.
LOL I’m wearing Sheer Rapture today. It might be I like it because I already know that color is flattering on my skin tone! Thanks!
I didn’t know there was a UD Sheer Rapture! I have UD Rapture as a cream formula.
Oh yeah, Sheer Rapture is probably my favorite lipstick, it’s just perfect for a low key look.
I did buy Beso just going off of your initial swatches of these. It is such a rich, yet very wearable shade! BEAUTIFUL!
And I would love to buy a few more, except that Beso gave me a peculiar sense that I had just used my old, pre-Toms Of Maine toothpaste…like a very mildly irritated feeling? Sooo, I looked up the ingredients. Yep. Sodium Saccharin. But in a very low amount, thus, why no severe issues. I probably will get 1 or 2 more, but very judiciously selective as these have that chemical in them. I know enough not to use them day after day, though.
These look beautiful with their sunny shades and the formula seems to be about right in terms of its lack of tackiness.
Beso will be a good replacement for when I’m out of the LE NARS dupe.
