I’m not sure but I think the only totally “new for 2015” blush I got was UD Rapture. I love it!
A gorgeous one for 2015! I’m so glad UD added a true blush range to their line-up.
The Clinic CHEEK POP BLUSH in general are divine. But if you love the formula they are bring out eyeshadows soon as well. The Gelee formula is starting to take over. 😉
I grabbed them already 😀
Chanel and Clinique were my favorites in 2015 though I did like the Hourglass Ambient Blushes though I think those started in 2014. I have yet to try the UD ones!
Any go-to shades from Chanel/Clinique in 2015?
Rapture, Bittersweet, and Cola Pop have been on my wish list for a long time… I’ve been holding off on buying blush, because I apply it so subtly that I wonder how much anyone could tell one from another on my cheeks, if they’re even in the same color family. But these are very pretty, maybe it’s getting to be time to experiment with blush again.
You might try Bittersweet, if only because the purple-ness makes it a little different, I think. The tone is more different than not compared to a lot of other blushes!
I think you’re right, Christine, and my own natural flush leans purple, so I think it will look fairly natural on me. Cola Pop I’m not so sure of — I’d like a red blush, but a cooler red would probably be more flattering on me. Rapture is pretty similar to Sticky Sweet, which actually appeals to me a bit more. So Bittersweet and Sticky Sweet come next (that should be easy to remember, such sweet names, lol)!
Hands down, UD Bittersweet. It’s so scary looking in the pan, but so gorgeous on the cheeks, and goes so well with my purple lippie collection
It’s so awesome that we live in a time where purple blush is a THING!
MAC Gingerly, NARS Mata Hari and Clinique Cola Pop. I’m especially glad I got Clinique Cola Pop – my favorite fall blush.
Cola Pop is so stunning!
I really liked Lancôme Blush Subtil Crème in Corail Alizé from their summer collection! On the other hand my biggest high-end blush disappointment was Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom.
That Lancome blush sounds like it would have been up my alley, lol!
Seriously, ok getting my butt to Nordstrom tomorrow! Cheek Pollen & Pearl Sunshine along with alot of other goodies should be in that bag. Next time it’s getting mailed! I’m seconding all your faves as my faves. It seems like 2015 was the year of awesome blush fomulas. Seriously,my blush drawer is overflowing!
lol! They are lovely shades. Hope you can snag them tomorrow 🙂
Well woohoo! I finally have 2! Rapture and Cola Pop! Love ’em both.
Another HUGE favorite of mine this year is MAC Burnt Pepper! Looks awesome on my NC37-40 skintone.
Other faves of mine this year are UD Bittersweet, MAC Cheek Pollen, and Fever, and the MAC Mineralize Blush in Gentle and Love Joy.
Yayyyy! 😀 I almost put Burnt Pepper! It was tough to get down to 10, lol!
I have a whole other blush related question! Now that I have pigmented blushes that need to go on with a fan brush, I’m finding my fan brushes need washed. Ok, I never wash my fan brushes because I once had one get all frizzy after I did. I wipe them with baby wipes and will eventually replace them. It was a Sephora brand brush that frizzed. I pitched it! I now have a Hakuhodo and MAC fan brush. So, my question is, l,do other people was their fan brushes?
I wash my fan brushes (both Hakuhodo as well as MAC) the same as my other brushes (Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap mixed with a lot of water), then lay it flat to dry. I squeeze out excess water in the direction of the bristles. That’s all for me!
Thanks Christine! Guess I’ll have to get over my fan brush cleansing phobia!
*sigh* These are all so beautiful.
My favorites for 2015: UD Afterglow in Rapture, Bittersweet, and Quiver. Clinique Fig Pop, Cola Pop and Pansy Pop. Too Faced Love Flush in Baby Love. MUFE HD Cream Blush in 410 (coral).
I used to hate blush when I first started doing makeup, but now it’s one of my favorite things!
That’s so funny. I can’t imagine you without TF Lovelust. 🙂
I’m so pale, I need blush. Cream blush was the first makeup item I was allowed to wear, after lipgloss.
Rapture truly is an amazing color, and the product has great pigmentation.
It is!
I must admit that I did really like the Chanel Joules Contraste Blush range. I thought the colours were exquisite and the finishes excellent. I am glad to see it in the Best of range for this year.
I have loved a lot of their recent releases!
Yeah, Cola, yeah Rapture. Make You Mine (dk if it’s 15, but I got it last year. MUFE Canyon, Nars Despair palette. I popped for the Paula’s Choice palette, and it’s like Despair a bit, but with a highlight and a contour. Better than I expected, and reasonable. MUG Summer Fling. But I NEED Burnt Pepper.
I love, love the finish on Make You Mine. I wish more MAC blushes were like it!
Whenever I use UD Bittersweet, even with primer and everything, it tends to fade. What can I do? Does this happen to someone else?
Oh no 🙁 Do you tend to wear the same base product? I can only think of reader Nancy who found that a blush didn’t work over a particular base product but was fine over all others.
Hourglass blushes in Dim infusion and Incandescent electra (love!), Chanel Joules Contraste Blush in a rose gold, Charlotte Tilbury Norman Parkinson Colour of Youth Cheek Glow and CT blush in Ecstasy, Bobbi Brown cheek palettes in pink and coral shades and Bobbi Brown brightening brick in Coral.
It’s been a good year for the cheeks!
It has been! I feel like this spring might be another season o’ cheeks!
Out of the beat of today, I don’t have anything. Nothing!
Out of all of the best of’s today I really only really, really want one, Bittersweet. Such a fantastic colour.
Awww!
Becca nightingale was definitly a favorite.
Pretty one, Rachel!
Now this is where I scored 4 out of 10 stunning shades you shared 🙂
I loveeee loveeee loveeeee Rapture
and recently recommended to a friend who is fairly new to nakeup and it was her first blush 🙂 did her makeover and she was so happy to see how it looks
she ordered from UD during their 10 gwp offer …
apart from this
I also picked my first MAC pro long wearI make you minmine and ohhhh myyyy its fantastic shade 🙂 also have been reaching a lot to Lancome blush subtil in Fig Espigel
Make you mine ****
Make you Mine! YAY!
Urban Decay Afterglow Blush in Video
That blush has a great finish!
My favorite discovery was the Balm’s Desert Balm. It’s a bit deceiving, as it looks like a straight up bronzer in the pan, but the color on the skin is a beautiful bronzey pink that makes my face look naturally healthy and glowy.
I love the rosy tone of that bronzer! Very underrated.
My favorite beauty discovery this year was the Mineral Fusion Blush in “Flashy.” Don’t judge based on what it looks like in the pan, whether in person or in photos–it looks quite different on the skin. It’s a naturalistic petal pink shade with just enough warm peach to balance the coolness of the pink and give it some energy… funny how the simplest colors seem to be the most difficult to describe! I compared it to similar shades in my collection, and it’s basically the same as Milani “Luminoso” layered over Benefit “Dandelion,” minus the shimmer. Lovely formula as well, no complaints. Just wish it weren’t so pricey!
That sounds really pretty! Thanks for sharing, JFM 🙂
