The Joues Contraste formula is supposed to have “buildable coverage, from natural to dramatic” with a “flattering radiance” and “silky texture.” The pigmentation ranges from semi-sheer to fully opaque, depending on technique and skin tone, but it seemed exactly as described–buildable–without having to pile it on or spend too long sheering it out. It had an extremely smooth, silky consistency that blended out beautifully on the skin while yielding a soft sheen that didn’t emphasize pores but added a lovely glow to the skin. On me, the blush lasted for eight hours before it started to fade.

Really beautiful and natural on you.
Thanks, Erin!
Oh wow, what a beautiful warm glow! Looks so pretty.
It is a pretty one!
Thats beautiful! It’s going on my wish list! 🙂
Yayyy!
Christine, do you know if this shade will work well on deeper skins? I love the color but I’m worried about it showing up on me :/
I don’t think it will show up 🙁 You might get a sheen but not color.
Wow, it’s so luminous looking! I’m going to have to check this one out
Keep me posted, Katherine!
What a beautiful shade. Might be my first Chanel blush.
Ooh, very nice!
With 5 of the dupes.. I’m resisting. Someone give me a pat on the back. It’s a big step.
Very nice, Wendy! 😉 You are stronger than I!
Tough choice between this one, Jersey, and the beige LE Holiday one.
It is!! They’re all easy to rotate through.
I tried this one on at the counter on Friday and loved it! I thought it was going to blend into my NC30 skintone, but it just gave the most natural flush with a hint of rose color. I love Chanel’s JC blushes. I picked up this one and the Vibration one. It think it’s time to start destashing all my other blushes… LOL. I mean, I only have two cheeks.
LOL! Right? Only two cheeks. Not enough cheeks for all those blushes, but we can still try!
Beautiful color. Looks good on you Christine.
Thanks, Deidre!
This is so pretty! It is definitely a “go with everything” blush 🙂
Glad ya liked it, Grace!
Do my eyes decieve me? Could this be it? The one?? The dupe to end them all for my beloved, nearly-gone NARS Douceur?!
The only thing I’d say is that if Douceur runs really rosy on you, then it probably isn’t the dupe you’re looking for! 🙁
Fortunately, it doesn’t! It’s much closer to brown on me. Golden Sun really has that luminous quality that I’ve been looking for!
What gorgeous nude blush. I really like the finish. It’s absolutely stunning on you, Christine.
Thank you, Rachel!
It looks gorgeous on you! Such a stunning blush! I must have it in my life! Do you know if this came out with a particular collection? I have been trying to find it where I live but cant!
It seems like one of those random minis/promotions for other products (I bought it online).
This sure is a nice one! Like a cross between a neutral blush and a soft bronzer. I really love it, although it may be a little too light on me.
Just found out on Saturday that I also am matched (and even better!) to MAC Pro Longwear Foundation in NC40. I definitely love the finish on Pro Longwear much better because it’s got a dewy-ness and more moist feel to it once on. I would happily return my SFL for it, but that would feel unethical on my part, no?
If you haven’t used a lot of your Studio Fix Fluid, I don’t think it would be unethical. I think it’s reasonable to return things that you don’t like or don’t work out as you expected on an occasional basis.
So far, I’ve only used it around 6-7 times. The first time that I used it, it went on beautifully, but at the end of that day, when I went to remove it, my face looked as if it had shriveled up and aged 10 years! After that I’ve been adding a bit of Strobe Cream to make it not THAT dry, whereas Pro Longwear seems much moister.
Oh, that is stunning! I have CP Aphrodisiac, but I find it hard to apply. If I come into a windfall of cash, I may check this out. At least it’s permanent!
True! 🙂
Wow! I love this! Breaking my “no buy” for this!
Wow! Enjoy it, Jacqueline!
Is this color a re-release or reformulation. I have this color from years ago. It is beautiful!
I’m not sure – it showed up under new on Chanel’s website a few weeks ago.
Now that is my kind of colour – absolutely gorgeous. Love it.
Yay!
I love the looks of Sun Down. I have Chanel’s Jersey and love it. Sun Down looks like she could be Jersey ‘ s “cooler” cousin!
Kind of! 😀
OH! Super pretty. I like the color and how effortless it is.
It is a gorgeous shade!
lIke the color and review. Don’t know if it would go with my complexion though.
Totally understand! It’s definitely not one that can work for everyone.
Christine, the blush looks beautiful on you. I bought it and wear it on top of two other Chanel blushes. It gives my fair skin a nice healthy glow.
Thank you, ChrissE!
Lovely shade! I already have Accent, but this is too beautiful to pass up.
It is a nice complement to Accent, I think!
I want to say no but this is beautiful! I don’t have anything like it. At first I was debating this or Coups de Minuit but I like that this has more color and this has double the product. Looks like a perfect everyday easy blush.
It is a very easy blush to wear on fair to medium skin tones!
Hello Christine! It sounds mad but it is exactly the colour I’ve been looking for years!! A natural nude blush, not too brown, not too pink! I’m searching it everywhere, but it seems it’s not available on Spain 🙁 not in the counter neither online.. so sad! And just saw the US version of sephora online doesn’t carry Chanel anymore, do you know why?
Please please Chanel people, bring Golden Sun to Spain!!!!
Enjoy yours Christine!! 🙂
I’ve never seen Chanel carried at Sephora in the states!
I think this will suit my Asian fair skin and perfect if I just want to have a no makeup makeup look:) but it can’t be used as a bronzer right?
It could be, if you wanted your bronzer that color!
