The texture was soft, silky, and lightweight on the skin while blending easily without losing too much intensity. It had semi-opaque coverage that was buildable to opaque pigmentation or blended out to semi-sheer (or you could apply less) if a subtler look was preferred. The shimmer didn’t emphasize the skin’s natural texture or pores, but it translated into a soft sheen. On me, it wore well for just over eight hours before fading.

I’m so glad this got a good mark from you! I swatched this the other day and literally gasped! lol..it must be mine!
lol! It is nice! It reminded me of a warmer Jersey, which I wear a lot.
Yep,I love Jersey myself. I ordered it immediately!:)
YES me likey. I was hoping you’d give it a good grade, as I suspect it’ll be one of the first thing I’ll grab when the collection is available here. I do have Accent though. How do you measure the similarity between the two, Christine? (I mean, the percentage. Where does it come from?)
I enter a % of how similar I think it is – just like when someone votes on a dupe on the Dupe List, they select a % and then say how it differs (if it does). It’s been there since we implemented the last Dupe List (I think about two or three years now).
Hey! Love the new mobile site!
I’m on google chrome on and iPhone 6. I’m wondering where the Pinterest buttons went!?
Thanks!
Pinterest buttons aren’t yet in!
I’ve seen many comments that people are finding the shimmer/glitter in this one overwhelming, to the point of returning it or saying it’s not appropriate for daytime/office looks. I am very torn about whether or not to order this. :/
Interesting! The shimmer seemed fine to me when I was testing it 🙁
I, too, think the shimmer is just fine & not at all over the top. Loving this and the recently discovered #2, Rose Bronze right now. I’m always happy when you give something I like an “A.” I feel so validated!!!
Thanks for all your work !
My pleasure, Kaye! Wonder if there were some batch inconsistencies!
I disagree. The shimmer is very hard to see on face. I have it myself. It gives a slight glowy sheen which is beautiful. If you swatch it on your hand it looks shimmery but doesn’t translate on the face.
Pretty shade! It’s a very soft romantic shade, this one, I like that.
It is nice and muted!
Hooray! I just bought this online at Nordstrom yesterday, so I’m glad it got a good grade! I so was not going to buy anything from this collection, but then a YouTuber I love posted a great review, and I ended up getting a few things. Gotta love Chanel! Think I’m going to pull the trigger on the quad today, too. 😉
Btw, I was going to ask you where the general search bar for the site was, but I just now found it at the bottom. Yay! I use that thing a lot.
Also, I was trying to use the Swatch Gallery to compare this to Roze Bronze. I can’t seem to find either.
Sorry, I don’t think I have that shade?
I think Rose Bronze is a bit more pink. Lately I’ve been wearing Rose Bronze as a blush and Alezane almost like a bronzer. I think they go really well together.
Nice! Hope you get your new Chanel goodies soon, M!
Love it but I have Sweet As Cocoa and I know on my skintone they will all appear the same…LOL…Love the new layout of the website!!!
Thank you, Aquie 😀
Very, very pretty.
Agreed!
Wow, this looks very pretty! I’ve always wanted to try one of the Chanel Joues blushes. I normally stay away from many brown blushes as they can look flat or muddy on me, but this looks like a nice mix of copper and peach, love the gold shimmers. Will have to check this one out. Glad it’s permanent!
It is a nice one! If you want something a little plummier, you could look at Jersey (I can’t recall offhand if that is permanent or not).
Christine, it looks beautiful on you! I have always been a fan of Chanel blushes, and Alezane is exceptional and really gives you a healthy glow.
Thank you so much, Christine!
I love it! Nothing unique about it but still gorgeous. Thanks for the review and the new beautiful site.
My pleasure, Ana <3
This looks lovely and i love the fact that you say it leaves a soft sheen. The colour is also great for every day wear xx
Totally agree! 😀
So glad I didn’t scoop this when I was obsessing over it. It’s too burnt reddish for me… colors like this remind me of Nars/MAC Lovejoy and make me look ruddy. Now I just want Jersey!
Phew!
I really like the look of that but I’m worried it would be too warm!
It could be! It definitely is a warmer shade.
This can join Jersey and Accent in my stash.. rather a bit like middle of the road between the two. Certainly works for me.
All lovely, easy-to-wear kind of shades.
Oh my this looks gorgeous!
It does!
Nice! One of my favorite shades on you Christine- anything from the coral/ brown/orangish family really flatters you. I might have to get this one too. Thanks!
Thank you, Trish! 🙂
Hi Christine ,
I’m loving this new format , wow so different but love it 🙂 I just thought I’d ask ( you may not know ) but I wondered about this new Chanel collection , it’s launching here in Ireland & the UK shortly and I heard New Moon Illusion d’Ombre is back but do you know will it be released here again or is it just in the USA ? Thanks 😀
I have no idea if it’s being repromoted globally, but I don’t have official info from Chanel (just their website, which is mostly official, lol, but I haven’t heard from their PR department).
This is just SO beautiful! Can you believe I’ve never tried Chanel blushes? This might be the first one!
P.S. Congrats on the brilliant site makeover! 🙂
Thank you, Sheb 😀
This would be really pretty for either autumn, or doing a “sunburnt” kind of look during the summer, which I’ve never really tried but often admired on others! I think I might check out MAC Make You Mine this weekend instead, since it’s like 1/2 the cost and it got an A+! I’d just have to apply it with a very feathery brush.
Love, love Make You Mind. It has such a lovely texture.
Gorgeous colour on you Christine. I think Chanel’s blushes in this range are lovely.
Thank you, Genevieve!
I’m really wondering if I got a bad one? The color is gorgeous but mine is full of very chunky glitter, so much so that I am going to have to wear it strictly for evening looks because it’s much too over the top for days/work. Christine, is there a brush you recommend for using with this particular shade? Even my Chiku z-4 is picking up tons of glitter 🙁 Maybe if I use a different brush, I can make it more versatile? Thanks for any help or feedback you might have to give!
I think I used a flatter blush brush from Hakuhodo or Chikuhodo x Beautylish’s blush brush with no issues!
You aren’t the only one, though – there seems to be some who find it very fine and then others who have said it is glittery!
that’s interesting that you say Accent is more shimmery. I have that and love it. I tried this one (granted it was just on my hand) and thought, omg, major gold dust! But since it’s so similar to Accent, my wallet is safe, sparkle or not !
It’s very interesting that some are experiencing a really glittery finish and others are not! I wonder what’s going on!
OH MMMYYYYY! I’m sooo happy this is Permanent! I’m into more neutral blushes lately! This is such a beautiful color and looks really good on you, Christine! 🙂
PS.
Thank you also for fixing the Connect with Facebook Login! I was able to log into my acct now! YAAAY! 🙂
Yayyyyyy!
I have Accent and Jersey. I love both of them. I want to buy Alezane but I have Nars Unlawful and I think that Alezane and Ublawful are very similar. Could you ask for your opinion? Thanks Jitka
Unlawful is a bit lighter and more shimmery on the skin! They’re not terribly far apart!

Such a nice, sunny color! I will probably get one of the MAC dupes though, because I have got to put the brakes on my spending of late! So either Sweet As Cocoa or Peachtwist look like they could work on my C4.5 SFLF, perhaps?
I think Sweet as Cocoa would be perfect on C4.5!
Thanks, I will be giving that one a test ride on my cheeks next time I’m in the local MAC Store!
I am kind of liking this product now from Chanel. Its pretty good.
Awesome!
I had high hopes fo this blush because it is pretty in pan. Unfortunately it was too sheer for my medium brown skin. At best it would be a shimmery highlighter shade. I think it will be very pretty on fairer complexions.
Such a bummer it didn’t work out for your coloring, Erica! 🙁
Omg this looks gorgeous. However, i do have jersey already… Are they different enough to justify having both? Xx
If you wear Jersey a lot, probably yes, but if you rarely wear it, then maybe not!
I really like the look of this, but already own Chanel’s Evocation, which seems warmer/darker. Is this different enough?
I don’t think I have Evocation!
Thanks for replying Christine! Evocation is a super pretty blush and bronzer in one but I only wear it when I’m really tan in summer- typically I prefer more of a color like their Caresse. Would you regard this blush as a must have from Chanel? Is the color somewhat unique to you? Because I do have a love affair with the Chanel blush formula.
If you like your subtler blushes and Chanel’s formula, you’ll probably like this one!
I couldn’t agree with you more! This blush is amazing. I actually thought it was pretty close to the original MAC Warm Soul (or at least the one from about 2011). 🙂
Happy to hear you’re enjoying yours, Kimmy!
I’ve been debating between this and jersey since they look so similar. Which do you prefer or do you think they’re different enough to own both?
I think they are different enough to own both, but I prefer Jersey by a bit personally.
Thank you very much for the review, the blush looks really beautiful! In another review I have read that it is also a bit ‘similar’ to MAC Warm Soul. I tried your dupe list but cannot find this comparison. I was wondering what your opinion about this comparison is 😉
Warm Soul is a lot lighter and more orange, IMO.
Hi Christine,
I already own Jersey, but do you think Alezane is worth the money anyway? Or are they too similar?
Oh, someone already asked this question. Sorry 🙂
I think it is darker, so if you wear your blush as closer to semi-opaque coverage, then sure. If you wear blush as barely-there, then probably not.
