Chanel Malice (71) Joues Contraste Powder Blush ($45.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a medium pink-coral with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. MAC Fleeting Romance (P, $23.50) is warmer. Tarte Bashful (LE, $26.00) is pinker, lighter. Surratt Beauty Ponceau (P, $32.00) is brighter. Guerlain Coral Blush (LE) is more matte. MAC Hi Jinks! (LE, $20.00) is a cream product. NYX Apricot (P, $5.00) is more matte. Clinique Peach Pop (02) (P, $21.00) is slightly warmer. Clinique Ginger Pop (01) (P, $21.00) is darker. Dior Corail Bagatelle (763) (LE, $43.00) is lighter. Chanel Intonation (69) (LE, $38.00) is brighter, cream. MAC Autoerotique (LE, $25.00) is more muted. Physicians Formula Warm (P, $11.99) is lighter, pinker. Edward Bess Secret Affair (P, $43.00) is warmer. MAC Supercontinental (LE, $21.00) is lighter. MAC Fleet Fast (LE, $21.00) is more shimmery. Dior Pink Glow Blush (LE) is less shimmery. Burberry Blossom (P, $42.00) is a smidgen darker. See comparison swatches/ view dupes.
Here’s an example of when Chanel gets it right: a beautiful, silky-smooth texture that doesn’t turn powdery and blends effortlessly on the skin with excellent color payoff that is easily built-up, sheered out, or applied at full, true-to-pan intensity. The finish is luminous with a subtle sheen that gives the skin a natural glow but doesn’t emphasize pores. It’s a color that is often made (as is obvious given how lengthy the dupe list is!), but this is a lovely iteration of it for anyone who tends to look for high-end blushes. Malice lasted for eight hours on me before fading.

Perfection, ‘s all I can say <3
It’s a nice one!
I don’t need this but I NEED this! The color is so rich and fantastic. Something I could see myself wearing in the Spring(with a lighter hand) and in Summer (with a heavier hand). And may I say the shade suits you so well, Christine. Love it!
Thank you, Kimmy!
Ooh it looks so pretty! And it looks gorgeous on you Christine! I would get it, but there are a few too many dupes for it, that I just cant justify it, especially since I’ve been wanting MAC’s Fleeting Romance for awhile. 😀
Fleeting Romance is pretty close! 🙂
Glad this one got an A – it’s a beautiful coral color. Also love your look – the shadow, blush, and lips go well together. I can’t indulge though, because I caved and ordered Tom Ford’s Spring 2015 cream shadow, I couldn’t stop obsessing over it !
Thank you so much! 🙂 Hope you love the TF shadow!
Alright now that it has your approval I can breathe! lol! I got this about two weeks back and have been in love! I think it looks great on you and on my complexion too it pulls off pretty well! 😉 🙂
Happy to hear it’s working well on your skin tone, Divya! 😀
This shade and finish are lovely, and I’m glad it performed well! However, I feel like it’s a pretty dupable at the drugstore or in mid-range brands, so I think I’m going to pass on this’un.
It’s definitely a dupable shade!
I couldn’t agree more. This is my go-to blush when I wear warm tones. This blush left me wanting to try more chanel blushes.
So glad you’re loving it, too!
This is one of my faves! So pretty on you too!
Yay!!
It’s beautiful! Do you think it would show up on an NC50 skin tone?
I think it would!
Gorgeous color, coral is my favorite. I thought this was a permanent shade already.
It is!
Oooooo. It looks so beautiful on your skin Christine!
Thanks a lot, Shannon!
Wow… that’s all I have to say! It’s gorgeous!
I loved how it all came together in this one!
Very pretty on you, Christine but it’s too warm and peachy for me.
Thanks, Mariella! 🙂
Stunning! So much better than the other one.
Agreed!
Well, this is just really really really lovely.
Love the finish on it!
WOW, I love it!
Yay!
Gorgeous color, Christine! Love that subtle glimpse of luminosity! <3 Chanel really excels in their blush formula huh? 🙂
When they do it right, yes!
I have this and love it. It even works on my fair complexion. I love Chanel!
Woohoo!
tempress! every time you give a 10/10 I start dreaming lol love this color!
lol! 😉 Good thing this one has LOTS of dupes!
Beautiful, and really suits you. Not different enough from my fave Illamasqua in Sophie for me to covet, though!
Gotcha! This one has a LOT of dupes, surprisingly!
Lovely colour – I think Chanel does these blushes well. But where do they get these awful names from?
I wonder where the inspiration came from (I wonder more if it’s something other association).
Hi Christine, i know this is my 2nd comment on this post..sorry! It’s off the topic as well. But I just read you old post about Guerlain’s Ligerie de Peau and Parure de Lumiere foundations. I am on a foundation hunt. I typically do this at around season change and wind up with a few that I like, lol. Anyway, with so few counters near, I pretty much rely on blogs, online swatches, and beauty consultants unless Sephora has something I like and lately the store is thinning or I am expanding. Anyway, I called Nordsroms online Beauty consulting to talk about the two Guerlain foundations (lingerie de Peau and Parure de Lumiere) because your reviews are great and they look lovely on you and sound perfect for me. I don’t like heavy or matte foundations. Plus,I know we share similar undertones. She told me there was “no way” any of Guerlain’s foundations would match my skin. I could see where the #02 may pull a bit pinkish. But, your yellow undertone is certainly stronger than mine. I would say I can wear neutral to yellow undertones. So, I am confused and needing reassurance or not. I see you are wearing the Parure Gold (d/c’d) here. Do you feel like the other two foundations work well for you? Or should I forget the Guerlain as a foundation and look at some other brands? Thanks and sorry for the lengthy question!
Hey Nicole,
I mix 02 and 03 personally, though 02 is a bit light on me. I mix 02 and 03 for all of Guerlain’s liquids (Lingerie, Parure Gold, Parure de Lumiere). I don’t think 02 is really pink, though.
Great, that’s what I had thought I had gathered form your reviews and then noted the dates were form 2011 I believe? Just wanted to make sure you still felt the same on them. If #02 is light on you, It may work for me and I would probably need #03 in summer. I could probably start with #02 and see how it goes, add #03 if needed.Thank you for the prompt response!Your the best!
Yep, I’m still the same shades 🙂 As you might expect… I spent a lot of time indoors, haha.
Phwoar! 😀 Look at that pigment! Such a pretty, summery blush. I feel like you should be sipping cocktails next to a tropical beach on a sultry evening…
*cue overactive rogueimagination*
At least it’s one way to sneak a little warmth into the winter 😉
My absolute favorite blush. I am so stoked that you finally reviewed it and gave it high marks!
Yay!
Gah so pretty! I don’t have any high end blushes like Chanel so I’m definitely tempted. I do have some gift cards that I can use…hmmm…
Uh oh! 😉
I’m so glad you’ve reviewed this! I’ve had it in my ‘cart’ before but couldn’t commit without a rating, haha. I already have Intonation and Clinique’s Peach Pop, so it doesn’t seem like this is a must have for me anyway! 😀
I think you’re covered!
I love the almost grapefruit color. It reminds me of a more coral, luminous version of NARS Pierre Hardy ‘Boys Don’t Cry’. In the pan it also reminds me of Chanel ‘Angelique’ but applied it’s much deeper, pinker, and more luminous.
Dang it, Chanel (and Christine!), I’m trying to be a good boy and save my money! ‘Malice’ is making it so difficult!
Aww! There are so many (cheaper) dupes, though! Plus, permanent, so you can wait 😉
This blush had been on my list for the longest. Everyone raves about it and it’s so beautiful!
It is a lovely shade!
why such a mean name? i don’t know why it really bothers me in a blush name when i don’t really mind it in eyeshadows and lipsticks… the shade is lovely though.
It would be nice if brands explained their names more (at least when they released ’em!).
Hi Christine! This looks amazing!
How would you say this compares to the ‘Caresse’ shade from the Chanel Holiday Collection 2014?
Do I need both or are they very similar?
They’re very different! http://www.temptalia.com/submit-dupe?sbs=1&pid=179444&dupe=189965
