Too Faced So Peachy Peach My Cheeks Melting Powder Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
So Peachy
Too Faced So Peachy Peach My Cheeks Melting Powder Blush ($30.00 for 0.44 oz.) is a bright, meidum pink with subtle, warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, though it was hard to maintain the same intensity applied and blended out on cheeks.
The texture felt creamy when I first swatched it, but all subsequent uses were much drier and more powder-like in the pan–it just seemed to dry out after being exposed to air for the first time. It felt and worked a lot more like a powder on my skin, but this particular shade sat better on than others and looked more like a cheek stain. The downside was that it did not apply well over foundation as it would lift the base noticeably. This shade lasted for five hours on me.

Formula Overview
$30.00/0.44 oz. - $68.18 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be a "cream-to-powder blush" that has "buildable color" and a "creamy, velvety texture" paired with a "radiant-matte finish." The consistency felt creamy to the touch, but it also felt a little powdery. It had a candy-coated shell initially--very shiny--but after one or two uses, the texture looked more matte and felt a lot drier. It seemed almost as if it was drying out over time, so ultimately, it felt more like a powder going on most of the time.
The texture was thinner and while it was no trouble to diffuse the product across the skin, it did not do so that evenly, and I noticed a lot of color that seemed to sit in my pores (like dots of deeper color). The coverage was more buildable when applied with a fingertip, but it was a challenge to get more coverage that was still blended as the color seemed to disappear as I blended it out (even just a little). The only way I could manage decent application was patting color on the apples of the cheeks with fingertips and lightly pressing to blend, and then going back with a bit of foundation actually blend out the edges. The wear was short end on bare skin at six to seven hours.
Over foundation, they were worse, as they lifted liquid foundations a lot, which resulted in uneven coverage and some unevenness in overall texture, too, as the cream-to-powder formula caused clumping with my liquid foundations (I tried three different ones with this blush formula).

Passing on this, but I will be checking out the NARS and ColourPop dupes.
What a disappointment this entire line has turned out to be. I admit to getting sucked in by the awesome packaging, despite my general wariness about Too Faced, and I bought a couple of the lipsticks… They were just as poor performing as the blushes and I returned them!
Pretty colour but a problematic formula. There are so many identical colours available that are easier to use. What was Too Faced thinking with a cream product that dries out so quickly?
Oy… I always forget about the NARS blush in that shade! LOVE.
These actually seem even worse now that I have been spoiled by Fenty Chili Mango, or any number of ColourPop’s Cheek Shocks! Oh well, probably not enough intensity or depth to this one for me anyways.
I love the color, that’s really too bad.
