Too Faced Nip Slip, Skinny Dippin', Overexposed Intense Color Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Nip Slip
Too Faced Nip Slip Intense Color Coconut Butter Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a dark, peachy brown with warm, yellowish undertones and a lightly glossy, cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer that applied evenly across my lips and didn’t have any streaking despite being a more emollient formula. The texture was lightweight, smooth and lightly creamy but not too thick or too thin, so it was comfortable to wear. It wore well for four and a half hours, which was quite short of the eight hours promised, and was lightly hydrating.w

Formula Overview
$22.00/0.12 oz. - $183.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented" with a "balmy, hydrating texture" that has "8 hour long-wearing color." The range is quite pigmented with a smooth, lightly balm-like consistencies--creamy enough to glide on easily but not so soft that it felt too creamy or melted on (denser than the brand's La Cremes). The majority of the shades applied evenly on my lips and lasted between four and six hours but none made it to eight. They were lightly hydrating overall. They were supposed to have a coconut scent, but I could barely detect anything; there was slight creaminess but it was very nondescript to me.
It has very similar packaging to MAC's Liptensity range, and now that both brands are under the Estee Lauder umbrella, a comparison of ingredients shows that they have similar bases, but some ingredients are out of order (but there) but Too Faced's formula has the inclusion of coconut butter/oil and is vegan (at least some of MAC's shades include carmine). To me, Too Faced took MAC's formula and made tweaks based on what they preferred in it (or not in it), but they're definitely similar with respect to how they look at the end of the day. I applied the two side-by-side (one on each half of my lips), and MAC's Liptensity formula is tackier with a bit more cling whereas Too Faced's Intense Color formula has more slip and seems lighter-weight. I definitely noticed that I was wearing lipstick less with Too Faced's formula. That being said, that lack of tackiness is what I attribute to shorter wear time. I don't think that they feel like night and day different; I can just feel subtle differences. They are the same in size, but Too Faced's is $22.00 and Liptensity is $21.00.

Skinny Dippin'
Too Faced Skinny Dippin’ Intense Color Coconut Butter Lipstick ($22.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium peach with warm, orange undertones and a cream finish. It had good color coverage in a single layer with a smooth, creamy consistency that was a bit more prone to separating along my lip lines compared to other shades. It did not look as smooth on my lips, unfortunately. The color was comfortable to wear as it was lightly moisturizing over the four hours it lasted for.

I really want to swap Overexposed with you! Mine does not look like yours at all. Mine is decidedly brown-toned with a slight hint of lavender. But, my quality seems better than yours. Trade off I guess. Thanks for your swatches!
Shade wise, my pick is N*p Slip. However, I find the name offensive for a *lipstick*, as it implies something salacious about how some woman choose to dress and then experience accidentally exposing themselves. I don’t mind the saying itself, but no, I do NOT want my lipstick to be called that!
I feel exactly the same way about the name. Personally, I’m a bit tired of the the trend of salacious product names used by quite a few different cosmetics companies.
I love Nip Slip! I think that’s a nude that would really work on me.
inb4 people get bent out of shape about the nude names in a nude lipstick collection 🙂
Love Nip Slip and the warm yellow undertones. The perfect nude for my skin tone. Will purchase when available.
Oh my goodness, I love everything about this look. It makes me want to run out and buy the whole TF release.
These look exactly like the mac liptensity lipsticks.
