Too Faced Cherry Bomb Fruit Cocktail Blush Duo Review & Swatches
Cherry Bomb
Too Faced Cherry Bomb Fruit Cocktail Blush Duo ($30.00 for 0.22 oz.) contains a sparkling, copper highlighter and a warm red blush. The two shades coordinated well with each other, and I loved that the depth of both shades make it workable on a lot of skin tones. I wish the highlighter was softer and more blendable, as the blush was fantastic.

Cherry Bomb (Highlighter)
Cherry Bomb (Highlighter) is a medium copper with warm, orange undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. The consistency was denser but more emollient, which resulted in somewhat uneven coverage that had to be buffed in using circular motions to spread the product around more evenly. The pigmentation was semi-sheer and buildable, as described, and did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture unless worn at full coverage. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably, and there seemed to be slight glitter migration over time.

Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have "buildable payoff" that has a "soft-touch, silky" texture. The pigmentation ranged from medium to mostly opaque, so some shades were truly buildable and others had to be used with a lighter hand (or less dense brush) to achieve sheerer, buildable coverage. The consistency was smooth but firmer in the pan, but with a typical highlighting brush and a medium hand, I didn't struggle to pick up product, so it was more in the vein of "not powdery" rather than stiff. The powders blended out easily, sat well on my skin, and lasted for eight to nine hours on me.

Cherry Bomb (Blush)
Cherry Bomb (Blush) is a medium red with warm undertones and a satin sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage in a single layer. With a very light hand, I could get sheerer coverage if desired. The texture was smooth, dense but not too firm that it became stiff to work with, and easy to blend out on my skin. The more I blended and worked the powder into my skin, the glowier the finish appeared. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before fading slightly.

My weakness. A soft red blush. Which is how I came to own and love Nars Goulue, Clinique Cola Pop, and MAC Burnt Pepper. Sooo…will I now add this to the collection? Should I? ?
Both the blush and highlighter do look really fabulous together. Great shades.
I really like the blush, but the highlighter wouldn’t suit me. I must dig through my not yet unpacked stash to see what blushers I have.
Question to myself, why does it take so long to unpack everything after having moved? 😀
