Formula Overview
$60.00/0.11 oz. - $545.45 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "full-coverage" in a "single stroke" that is "lightweight" and "long-wearing" that helps to smooth and keep lips hydrated over time. What sets this formula apart from other Tom Ford Lip Colors is the texture: it's velvety, smooth, and waxier without being heavy--it glided on easily but did not feel wet or traditionally creamy. It was very lightweight, comfortable to wear, and some shades definitely helped minimize my lip lines. They wore between four and six hours on me, and they were lightly to moderately moisturizing. They had a faint vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Meuh…not for $60. Colors are special and I just can’t believe that anything other than a psychological feeling of wealth comes from wearing this. If it REALLY feels much better than other lipsticks, I would think they’d be A+ or A++; yet you have ColourPop lipsticks that look just as nice on your lips at A too, so no way. Besides the packaging isn’t special either.
You make a super valid point, Jane. I’m going to look at dupes for less. Because $60 for a lipstick when I could use that $ for a new outfit or to buy my daughter a couple of dresses? That’s insanity.
I agree Jane – I don’t think it is a better lipstick and Colour Pop’s Trending is a much better lipstick than this one and it is so, so similar too.
I totally get the “different strokes for different folks” aspect of prices/budget but yeah, totally agree with you! I am super frugal though, so I feel like I think in terms of “how much of my grocery budget is this one lipstick?” or even “how many hours do I have to work to buy this?”
To Die For literally IS to die for, lol! I love this punchy spring/summer lip color, but heck if I’d pay the full $60! May try for it during Rouge sale, or just get a less expensive dupe. His prices were always ridiculous, but now they’re off the chain!
Lovely colours, but they look way too underpigmented for me. A much, much better one is ColourPop’s new Trending lipstick – a fraction of the price, far more pigmented and a great rating too.
Normally TF lipsticks are too rich for my blood, but I’m thinking of adding To Die For to my Rouge sale cart.
