Tom Ford Luna Radiant Perfecting Powder Review & Swatches
Luna
Tom Ford Beauty Luna Radiant Perfecting Powder ($68.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a light-medium, peachy gold with strong, warm undertones and a luminous finish. The finish was glowing without being frosted or metallic, yet it was a few notches above subtle, so it ended up being a nice happy medium between subtle and intense that we don’t see quite as frequently (but the hue itself has been done often–you could easily dust translucent powder over a more intense highlighter to tamp down some of the shine/shimmer). The consistency was thinner, almost papery with the way it felt a smidgen drier to the touch, but it picked up well with a tapered highlighting brush and applied evenly to bare skin. I had no trouble diffusing the edges on my skin, and it did not appear dry or dusty applied. The highlighter stayed on well for seven and a half hours on me before fading slightly.

SIXTY EIGHT BUCKS.
They could at least make sure the initial embossing is centered and oriented correctly for that sort of dough!
Pretty sure I already have Boujee Call, so I’m good 😉
A lovely shade and I like the finish.
It bugs me that the TF is off center! Also, is this as small as it seems to appear? It looks more like an eyeshadow than a highlighter (I see the weight but that doesn’t register with me…it just looks small).
0.21 oz. isn’t small for a highlighter. It is significantly larger than a standard eyeshadow (MAC, UD, etc.) in physical size as well (those are about 0.05 oz.).
It must be the way the photo first looked to me, though I checked and MAC’s Extra Dimension highlighters are about 1/3 larger by weights (0.31). This is a lovely highlighter on you but as everything Tom Ford, I find the price tag more than a bit steep. When a product makes Dior’s highlighters look reasonably priced, it IS steep.
Yeah, highlighters range from about 0.16 oz on the lower end to 0.35 on the higher end, but there are deviations below and above – like Kevyn Aucoin Celestial is 0.11 oz. and NARS’ new highlighter powders are 0.49 oz.!
Not gonna lie, the glow on this looks spot-on perfect! I do have ABH Amrezy, though. Pretty sure I could give it a light dusting of my usual finishing /setting powder like you mentioned, and I’d get the same effect.

Thanks for the review, Christine. I was curious about whether this product was a highlighter or a pressed powder. It looks lovely on you!
