Tom Ford Lou & Antonio Boys Lip Colors Reviews & Swatches
Lou
Tom Ford Beauty Lou Lips & Boys Soft Matte Lip Color ($36.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a light–medium pink with subtle, cool undertones and a natural sheen. It had semi-sheer color coverage in a single layer, which was buildable to medium coverage if desired. The texture was lightweight, thin without feeling clingy, and velvety–felt almost a silicone-primer, as it glided across my lips but didn’t feel moist/wet. The product went on evenly, but there was a bit of product that separated along my lip lines, and it was more prone to emphasizing lip texture. This shade lasted well for three and a half hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

The Soft Matte finish is supposed to have a "veil of sheer" color with a "powdery, velvety finish." Most shades had sheer to medium coverage that was buildable to medium to semi-opaque coverage. The texture felt velvety, lightweight, and thin, though it didn't feel clingy, and glided easily across my lips. The major downside was that it wasn't the most flattering on, so sometimes the color didn't look as even as it could or it accentuated lip lines/caught on lip texture. The wear varied between three and five hours, while the formula felt lightly hydrating.

Antonio
Tom Ford Beauty Antonio Lips & Boys Soft Matte Lip Color ($36.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a medium, coral-red with soft, warm undertones and a natural sheen. It seemed to have very, very fine pearl that gave it a sheen but the particles weren’t large enough to read shimmery/frosted in person. It had medium coverage–a little more than a veil as described–that was buildable to semi-opaque pigmentation, but I felt like the more emollient texture made it hard to build up beyond that (just felt like I could apply endlessly without getting there). The color went on fairly evenly but could have been kinder to lip texture. It lasted well for four and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

I love Lou, but a B-rating isn’t good enough for me to consider spending $36. And I must have a cool pink lipstick in my collection already.
I bet you have a dupe!
Gosh, these are both really lovely! Unfortunately, Lou might make me look like the undead. And I have UD Sheer Slowburn for Antonio. Although… Antonio is still very tempting!
I can’t pull Lou off and Antonio is a little too warm for my preferences, so easy pass for me and everyone knows my love of lipstick so getting me to pass on any is pretty hard!! Just placed a Bite order so I should be good for awhile.
Antonio is a lovely shade of red.
