Tom Ford Flicker Skin Illuminating Duo Review & Swatches
Flicker
Tom Ford Beauty Flicker Skin Illuminating Duo ($80.00 for 0.42 oz.) includes a light-medium gold and a deep, chocolatly brown–both with more shimmery finishes. This is the deeper duo that’s been released to-date, and I could really see this working well on deeper skin tones well, particularly the darker shade, which may give a very my-skin-but-better effect on those skin tones. Both shades were pigmented, blendable, and long-wearing; they have that hybrid powder-gelee kind of formula, so the texture is a bit denser/firmer than some blushes (but have no powderiness) and have a more “melted” appearance applied.

Flicker (Top)
Flicker (Top) is a light-medium gold with strong, warm undertones and a soft, metallic sheen. It had opaque color coverage that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out easily without emphasizing my skin’s natural texture. The powder had a firmer consistency that was smooth to the touch without any powderiness, but it was still easy to use with a brush and remained blendable (not stiff) on my skin. It lasted well for eight and a half hours on me before there was visible fading.

Flicker (Bottom)
Flicker (Bottom) is a rich brown with subtle, warmer rosy undertones and a luminous sheen. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, firmer consistency that was dense but not stiff to work with (no powderiness!). The powder applied well to bare skin and blended out with little effort and yielded a luminous finish that didn’t emphasize my skin’s natural texture. For lighter skin tones, it might be a more contour-like hue, though it definitely has shimmer and contour powders tend to be more matte. For tan to deepest dark skin tones, this could work as a blush, bronze, or my-skin-but-better highlighter (depending on skin tone depth). It wore well for nine hours before fading noticeably on me.

that deep brown is so stunning!! *0*
Nice! This duo would be a good faux tan type of product for me, as I’m neither deep or dark, nor light or fair. I’m actually leaning more towards getting the ND Tan & Glow (?) palette instead after seeing other med-tan YT’ers review and demonstration of its usage on themselves.
These shades would look great as eyeshadows too.
This looks like a serious quality product — nice job TF!
