Tan #4 is a bright, light-medium peach-gold with strong, warm undertones and a high-shine, metallic finish. It had medium to semi-opaque coverage in a single layer, which was easy to build up to full coverage or sheer out for lighter coverage. (This was described as a buildable formula.) The consistency was smooth, firmer, and denser without being too stiff or difficult to pick up with a brush (though I'd recommend a moderately dense brush to do so). I found that at higher coverage levels, it did emphasize my skin's natural texture a bit, though in person it seemed to be shiny enough that it was hard to notice--but it depended on how the light hit. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me before fading noticeably.
