Sis
Tarte Sis Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints ($20.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark plummy brown with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly full color coverage, but the downside this shade had was in its dry down–it was very clingy and emphasized every lip line. It “cracked” when I smiled and just felt dry on my lips. This shade started to flake away from the center of my mouth after four hours of wear and was tolerable for six hours. It was moderately drying.
The Quick Dry formula is supposed to have “full coverage” with a “transfer-proof” finish that won’t crack, dry your lips out, or feather. After trying several shades in the formula, there is a lot of inconsistency across shades. Some are nice, some are terrible; some absolutely “crack” and others have a soft matte finish that is transfer-proof without making lips look drier. The formula is, overall, lightly to moderately drying on me, though the wear is longer at five to seven hours and most shades had good pigmentation.

Killin' It
Tarte Killin’ It Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints ($20.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plum with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had mostly opaque color payoff with a lightweight, thin consistency that spread evenly across the lips. This shade dried down to a smooth, matte finish that was more of a “soft matte” that felt flexible and wasn’t too clingy. It lasted for six hours and was a touch drying.

XOXO
Tarte XOXO Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paints ($20.00 for 0.20 fl. oz.) is a muted, medium-dark brick red with warm undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was thicker, more mousse like than your average liquid lipstick, but it spread well and had opaque color payoff. It dried down lightly tacky, even though it seemed to be transfer-proof. I also some vertical cracking, which was a new experience for me, and this was the area where the color started to flake away from while worn. It lasted decently for about five hours on me. The formula was lightly drying.

While I am disappointed by the cracking, XOXO is a beautiful shade!
It is a nice color!
Killin’ It at least isn’t such a major PITA, plus it is a gorgeous shade! I suppose that’s why I already have at least one dupe I bought, CP Barracuda, and one from Ipsy, Ciaté Pin Up, that I love very much!
Glad you have some dupes, Nancy!
Interesting how the formula varies by shade
And it doesn’t seem confined to just light or dark shades either!
Killing it’ certainly is. Love the color and that it looks nice. Drying puts it out the running for me though.
Yeah, I’m ready for more moisturizing lipsticks after these!
They are nice colours! Killing It is indeed killing it!
They are cool shades!
Killin It is a beautiful color. I’m sorry to read some of these cracked. 🙁
I was surprised, since the first one I tried was decent!
