Woof (44)
Sephora Woof (44) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium-dark black with neutral undertones and a satin finish. The coverage was good, but it wasn’t opaque and would not build up to fuller coverage due to the more emollient consistency. The issue with this shade was just that there was too much slip for this type of color, as it had a tendency to go on unevenly and was hard to keep in place as the color settled into my lip lines a bit, too. It wore well for four hours but wore away unevenly, though it was slightly hydrating.

Formula Overview
$8.00/0.14 oz. - $57.14 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "lightweight" with "full-coverage color in one swipe." The majority of shades were pigmented with semi-opaque to full color payoff in a single layer, as described. The more shimmery shades tended to be a bit sheerer overall, while the mattes and creams were usually closer to opaque in coverage.
The textures were typically creamy, lightweight, and not too thin or too thick on the lips, so they were comfortable to apply and to wear. There were some shades where the color pulled into my deeper lip lines upon application, and it was more or less noticeable just depending on the color and finish of the particular.
Some shades seemed hydrating and others were non-drying. They lasted anywhere from three to over six hours on me. There was a subtle, sweet, fruity scent (I couldn't detect it on, just in the tube), and I haven't noticed any taste after wearing them.

City Beat (45)
Sephora City Beat (45) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a deep, bluish purple with cool undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage in a single layer, which did not build up due to the too-slippery consistency. The color emphasized my lip lines and sank into them further over time. The color lasted for five hours, stained my lips a purplish color, and was non-drying.

Cash Money (47)
Sephora Cash Money (47) Lipstories Lipstick ($8.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a muted, dark green with subtle, warm undertones and a glossy finish. The color was intriguing but had so much slip that it made it hard to apply (I was surprised that it applied as well as it did!) evenly and smoothly, and the color slid around the whole time I wore it, so it was a more high-maintenance lip color overall. It had semi-opaque coverage that lasted for three and a half hours on me but did stain my lips slightly. The formula felt a bit hydrating.

Personally, I don’t use shades such as these, too old and too pale to pull it off. However, I love seeing the shades on others. My question is why would a brand make these shades but not have a quality formula? You are not going to sell a ton of these shades anyway so why put them out there when they are so poor in quality? I think this would further decrease your sales. Just don’t get it.
You said everything I am thinking!
If a brand is going to take the plunge and offer non-traditional lipstick shades, they *need* to do it right. These are not good quality in the least. Although, City Beat could perhaps be useful applied as a base for UD Time (LE) lipstick to make it appear purplish!
I was hoping these would be better. I get tired of seeing less-than-opaque blues and greens coming from brands.
I’m keeping mine for Hallowe’en, St. Patrick’s Day and any other time I fancy wearing something a little different 🙂
