Sephora I’m Quite Tipsy (08) Colorful Blush ($14.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “dark purple.” It’s a slightly muted, medium-dark magenta pink with cool, blue undertones and a mostly matte finish. Viseart Rose #3 (PiP, ) is darker, brighter (95% similar). MAC Bright Pink (P, $16.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). NARS Angelika (P, $30.00) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Sweet Sentiment (LE, $29.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Make Up For Ever B216 (P, $23.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler (90% similar). MAC This Could Be Fun (LE, $24.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). LORAC Unashamed (LE, ) is lighter, brighter, cooler (85% similar). Anastasia Basically (PiP, ) is warmer (85% similar). ColourPop Pie (DC, $8.00) is darker, brighter (85% similar). ColourPop Coin Purse (LE, $8.00) is lighter (85% similar). Anastasia Bahamas (LE, ) is brighter (85% similar). ColourPop Homie (DC, $8.00) is brighter, cooler (85% similar). ColourPop Mochi (DC, $8.00) is lighter (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Colorful Blush formula is supposed to be long-wearing, buildable, and have a lightweight texture. My experience with the formula–generally–has shown that they’re soft, lightly powdery at times (some are worse than others) with semi-sheer to semi-opaque color coverage that blends fairly well and lasts seven to eight hours. There is some variance between shades, but there are some gems in the range. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque, buildable color payoff. The texture was a little thin and firmer in the pan than many other blushes in the range, which made it harder to blend on the skin when I tried using it (both for swatch photos as well as when I tested it for wear). The color stayed on well for eight hours.

Pretty. And this one is a great example of why one should see/test in person, if feasible? The Sephora photo of this blush is NOTHING like T’s photo. S’s photo looks as if it truly is in the purple family. Think you are closer to the mark. S’s photo does not look as if it would be in the Homie/Pie family, but more like MUFE dk purple pink. I wonder what impact color representation methods (RGB/CYMK, etc.) has to do with why colors do not look similar. Tried to get a grasp of that once, but it’ll be a whole day learning for me. But, believe me, if one saw the photos of this Tipsy side by side, no one would think it was the same shade.

They may not even shoot every shade, only alter it in Photoshop. Some brands do this 🙁 I’m not sure if Sephora does or what percentage of photos they shoot themselves vs. use what brands give them (it may vary, too, between how their partnerships are set-up).

I love the name! Made me laugh when I read it! And it’s quite appropriate as that’s the colour I turn when I’ve had red wine lol. It’s a bit gaudy though for me, would have to use with a light hand.
