Sephora Frosted Rose & Pink Lollipop Cream Lip Stains Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Frosted Rose (61)
Sephora Frosted Rose (61) Cream Lip Stain ($14.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark rosy copper with warm undertones and a metallic sheen. It had medium coverage in a single layer, so it needed a second layer for more opaque coverage, which also helped to even out the first layer. The texture was smooth, lightweight, and thin with less creaminess than most shades I’ve tried in the range. It dried down in about 15 seconds without feeling clingy. While it didn’t emphasize my lip lines, it did not smooth them out either. The lipstick lasted well for six hours and was neither drying nor hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$14.00/0.169 oz. - $82.84 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "high-coverage" that goes on "smooth" and yields a "silky, lightweight stain" that is "long-lasting" and "never sticky" and "won't dry out lips." One of the signature traits for the formula is that it is a thinner (and yet somehow creamy) texture that does spread well but feels thin and very lightweight on the lips. It dries down quickly, but I never felt like it was troublesome to apply, even if I needed an extra moment to get around the edges of my lips, so it was a more forgiving formula despite setting more quickly. Once it set, the color did stay locked on for hours--I tested shades for around eight hours and many were still going strong. The formula was non-drying to slightly drying to me. They had a moderately strong, sweet scent (almost like burnt sugar) that also smelled just slightly "perfume-y" to me, but it seemed to dissipate after an hour of wear.
The pigmentation varied from shade to shade, but it did seem that the more shimmery and metallic shades often were less pigmented and did not always apply as evenly and sometimes seemed to sit in my lip lines. The cream/matte shades applied more evenly and had more opaque coverage on average.

PPermanent. $14.00.
Pink Lollipop (109)
Sephora Pink Lollipop (109) Cream Lip Stain ($14.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a very light pink with warm undertones and a metallic finish. The consistency was thinner and almost watery compared to the other shades, though I’d say it had a bit more slip than water. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied somewhat evenly but had a strong tendency to settle into my lip lines as it dried down. This shade stayed on well for five and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.

I’m always drawn to these pinky/rosy/coppery/plummy/golden type shades. I like the complexity of color, and they complement both warm and cool. I don’t like lipsticks that settle into my lip lines though, so Lollipop is probably out.
Pink Lollipop is scarily ’80’s. I’m getting flashbacks. Big nope.
Frosted Rose, on the other hand, is one where I wish the quality matched the beauty of the shade. Good thing I have some solid dupes, eh?
The swatches on the site weren’t very good for the new shades, I was afraid what it was going to look like when I got it as Pink Lollipop was on my wishlist. Frosty nude pink is a nope for me.
Frosted Rose is a beautiful shade and I don’t have any dupes. How can that be? I am content to wait until after my no buy is done but I think this is one I could wear. Adding it to my wishlist.
Frosted Rose is a lovely shade, but I think Lollipop is a bit dated.
I don’t normally go for metallics, but Frosted Rose is pretty enough that I’ll probably check it out in-store.
As much as I like the Frosted Rose color, I can’t deal with the lip lines, especially at my age.
