Bite Beauty Mauve Marzipan Crystal Crème Shimmer Lip Crayon ($24.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a deeper, muted plum with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. The shimmer in this shade seemed finer overall, which gave the finish a smoother appearance and a slightly glossier finish in comparison to the other shades in the range (but still more "matte metallic" than luminous or glossy). It had semi-opaque pigmentation that was buildable to mostly opaque coverage with a second layer. The pencil felt lightweight, emollient without being slippery, and comfortable to work with across my lips. It stayed on nicely for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time.
