Is that a matte purple that appears to be performing well?!

In. Not sure i’ll want 2 more Visearts, so maybe won’t even wait for a sale. ‘Course, Beautylish will prob have it by BF, w/o need to get 2. The periwinkle color is one i’ve been missing for a while. Now, if EL would only bring back Hyacinth Sky liner….. This isn’t perfect, but at least it’s cooler than other purportedly cool palettes. Love the #11 family, burnout, plumage, etc. Lots I like here, though the swatches really don’t seem to be Viseart’s total A game.
I like the periwinkle and the smoky lilac. They look the most unique to me. Stewing on this.. don’t need the rest. #11 and Mac plumage? Will run swatches.
Beautiful, considering how Viseart works so much better in actual practice than in arm swatches! I do like it a lot, but also have some very close potential dupes for my favorite shades here, so I’ll wait. Must say, though, that rich, smokey purple eye look is doing a lot to sway me towards getting it!
I have been loving my cool matte palette since I bought it. This second iteration seems a bit more fair skin friendly which I don’t mind!
If it performs good I will be getting it for sure. Plus, the option to move the eyeshadows around is interesting. It did depot all my viseart palette ( to place them back in their original packaging thanks to a magnetic sheet ‘
Was thinking the same thing about this palette being better for fair complexion. I’m tempted. Was a little disappointed with some of the swatches, but saw Nancy’s comment about the shadows being better in practice. I have a few of the mini palettes but they don’t have many mattes shades – mostly satins & shimmers.
Will wait for the review ?
I agree with Nancy. The swatches aren’t always representative of a shadow performance, especially viseart mattes shadows!
It is a permanent addition, we shouldn’t rush it. the first cool matte didn’t rate exceptionally good. B+ I think. But in practice, on primed eyes it is lovely. And it was much better, on average than other cool eyeshadow on the market then. Luckily for us, Christine’s reviews offer plenty details :).
At lease there is more variety in depth and tone with this palette than the supposedly cool toned palette from ColourPop. I have several of these shades duped, as others have mentioned. However, there are a couple of shades that seem more unique or that I don’t have shades for and if this reviews well this might be a good cool toned shadow palette for my fall trip to Europe.

I have to say I ordered it before your review and I am very disappointed in it. I loved the colors so much I couldn’t wait, wish I would of.
A lot of fallout, dry and I have tried about 6 of the shadows and not one I think looks good on me. Don’t know why and just wish I wouldn’t of spent that much money. Definetly more than I usually spend. I line my eyes with eyeshadow and I had to go over the line more than normal to make it show up.
I’m so sorry to hear that, Cheryl! 🙁 Can you return it?

If you can’t return I would purchase from you email me if you’d like to chat!

I may need to sit down after I write this, but…I’m really loving the browns and nudes in this version. That’s a phrase I never thought I’d think, let alone utter. I need a moment to collect myself.
These are exactly the colors I wanted. I’m getting this for sure if it scores an A.
Meredith
Same! I love the look!!!

Can this please be good? I want a completely proper cool toned palette
Helene
I agree!
I might wait a bit before buying as sometime some e-retailers have sales on Viseart. I bought my neutral mattes on sale and am so happy with that one.
Vicki
I wish the cool toned Colourpop palette looked like this. At least my wallet sure wishes it.
I’m not used to seeing Viseart produce inconsistent quality eye shadows. I think the old Cool Mattes palette looked more pigmented and smooth. A lot of these swatches look patchy. The pink and gray shadows look good. Pass for me.

The look you did with shadows looks amazing. I’m such a fan of Viseart mattes and I can’t wait to add this one to my collection.
I love #11 and #12. 7 and 8 are okay. But I don’t really get what 3 brown shades and a warm pink are doing in a cool palette. The so-called neutral matte palette already has several peachy pinks none of which I can wear. I wish I could sell that. Never use it.
This is why I got the Grande Pro even though the review was not outstanding. It has a mauve row, a purple row and a gray-blue row. One of the two warm rows has olive undertones, which is atypical with all the warm oranges out there. That’s why I won’t be buying an $80 palette for two well executed deeper cool tones.

I saw MAC Plumage and possibly Indian Ink dupes within these swatches, too, KJH. We may already have these duped, huh?

Ha! Too far, too fast. Better dial it back a little. 😉
I don’t really like this one – lots of the mattes look patchy to me and the shades don’t appeal to me at all.
These are exactly the colors I wanted. I’m getting this for sure if it scores an A.
