Revlon Primrose, Peach Me, Demure Super Lustrous Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Primrose
Revlon Primrose Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a light-medium pink with subtle, cool undertones paired with a lightly glossy, luminous sheen. It had medium pigmentation that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage if desired. The consistency was lightweight, thin without being clingy, and had enough slip that it felt more balm-like. There was slight streaking along the edges of my lips, and if I pressed my lips together, I could see a faint line of demarcation. There was also slight product that gathered in my lip lines, though I’d say it was surprisingly little given the finish and color of the shade. It stayed on well for three hours and was lightly hydrating while worn.

Formula Overview
$8.49/0.15 oz. - $56.60 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "lightweight color and moisturizing shine" with "buildable color payoff" and a "gliding, smooth application." It's a good formula for those who like medium, buildable coverage with a smooth, balmy consistency that glides across lips easily but doesn't feel too slippery while worn.
They're comfortable to wear with light hydration but tend to wear a shorter length of time--anywhere from two to four hours with a couple of shades reaching a little beyond four hours. What I like most about the formula is the finish: it's luminous and more smoothing, so it's kinder to lips with imperfection or prone to dryness/flaking. The formula has slip but doesn't have any heaviness or slickness that makes it prone to getting into lip lines.

Peach Me
Revlon Peach Me Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a soft orange with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had semi-opaque color coverage in a single layer, so it was a little more than medium, but one could apply a little less and blend to spread the color out with fingertips or a lip brush. The lipstick had a lightly emollient feel, so it glided on without tugging but did not feel too slippery when worn. It lasted well for four hours and was lightly moisturizing while I wore it.

Demure
Revlon Demure Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a soft, peachy-coral with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had medium color coverage that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips. The texture was lightweight, emollient without being heavy, instead it was thinner, but it felt comfortable tow ear and didn’t emphasize my lip lines. It wore well for three and a half hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

Quite a few years ago, before I discovered MAC Marque on here, and was bemoaning my dilemma with finding a nude lipstick I could wear that didn’t look horrid on me to my daughter…she recommended Revlon Demure. And now I can see why! First of all, it has Marque as a close dupe. Second, this family of “nudes” are very flattering to my complexion. This is good to know even though I do have a backup of Marque.
I wasn’t familiar with Marque, but it’s really pretty! But luckily, I already have one of the dupes listed: Chanel Mademoiselle, one of my favorite “nudes.”
To show my age: looks like 3 in my first super lustrous set in the later mid sixties. Seriously.
These are all very pretty, especially Demure.
But I’ve had problems with Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks in the past. They seem to oxidize after an hour or so. Pinks eventually turn peach, for example. I know this sounds weird, but has anyone ever experienced this?
I have the problem a fair amount, more frequently with LL. Many shades look zero like they do on Christine, but the change is pretty immediate, rather than overtime oxidation. W/ LLs, it’s on the dry down. Some brands more than others. It’s a good thing I like gray and purple, bec that is how they turn. I could list at least 15-20 that are radically different, from UD, ABH, Zoeva, MAC. Maybe that’s one of the reasons I so heart Nars lips…they always remain true to tube.
I’ve had lipsticks do that to me. Pinks will turn hot pink or red, and peaches will turn bright orange.
Yes, Any ‘mood’ lipstick or chameleon shade will invariably turn hot pink red on me. Peaches are super tricky as well and a very pale peach is somewhat doable. My complexion undertones are not as cool as yours, but my natural lip tone is very cool.
I know people like to hype up any and everything that’s remotely prestige.
But Revlon Super Lustrous lipsticks are some of the best on the market and I’ve held this belief for years. I’ve never seen Demure and Peach Me. Are these new shades?
Demure has been around for at least a few years. I’ve gone through two tubes so definitely been around.
I live Revlon lipsticks. Peach Me is my favorite.
Primrose if I can get it on amazon.
Ohh, how pretty Primrose is on you!!!! I’m actually considering getting this it looks so subtle and like cotton candy!
