Editor's Review

The formula is supposed to have "lightweight color and moisturizing shine" with "buildable color payoff" and a "gliding, smooth application." It's a good formula for those who like medium, buildable coverage with a smooth, balmy consistency that glides across lips easily but doesn't feel too slippery while worn.

They're comfortable to wear with light hydration but tend to wear a shorter length of time--anywhere from two to four hours with a couple of shades reaching a little beyond four hours. What I like most about the formula is the finish: it's luminous and more smoothing, so it's kinder to lips with imperfection or prone to dryness/flaking. The formula has slip but doesn't have any heaviness or slickness that makes it prone to getting into lip lines.

This is really similar to walk of no shame, a little bit more orangey and a slightly different finish. At first, I was so loving it, but now with summer skin tone in July, it’s definitely not as flattering. Unsure if I would buy again.

This is so easy to wear, always the right shade through all four seasons for me, and a moisturizing formula without any offputting scent. this will be a staple for me.

It's a sheer red lip fitting for everyday looks. I can wear it without makeup and still feel natural and energetic.

The OG red - accept no substitutes. Immediately brightens my face and makes me feel like a million. Application is smooth and it lasts for about four hours. The price can't be beat. I keep coming back - it worked for my grandmothers, it worked for my mom, and it works for me. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Good basic lipstick, although it says it's "super shiny" on me it's definitely more of a satin finish, which I prefer anyways. The shade itself is a good neutral red that I could see working for multiple skin tones. Wear time is decent with no bleeding or feathering but it's obviously not transfer proof. Need to reapply after eating or drinking as normal. Stains my lips mildly.

I never in a million years thought this shade would work for me. I decided to purchase a few of the new Revlon's shades and while in the store saw Wild Orchid and said 'why not' as the price point is so affordable. I put off even trying this shade and when it did, holy moly! Even my husband said it really brightened up my face and said it looked so much better than the other shades I tried on. I realized that I was stuck wearing shades that looked great on me in my 30's, but now that I'm older, my skin tone has changed, I stopped coloring my hair and my natural hair color and now grey hairs had also changed the way I look. In other words I had been 'warming up' my hair color with highlights since my natural color is just so ashy. Combine that with my neutral skin tone, I leaned more towards warmer shades to compliment that. Now that I have embraced my natural hair color my skin tone has shifted back to cool. While I'm used to wearing very muted shades, Wild Orchid made me realize I shouldn't be afraid of 'lighting up' my face just because of my age. In other words, an epiphany was had with this shade. As for the wear - all the Revlon lippies are excellent to apply and it's easy to correct the lipline with a Q-tip. I found two good swipes were all I needed and the color lasted a good amount of time and through a light dinner and coffee. This is the fifth lipstick from this line I purchased since Christine posted her swatches and I've been pleased with every one!

First of all - this is a $5-6 dollar lipstick and a fabulous deal for such a phenomenal berry shade. Application is a bit tough as it tugs at my lips, but I was able to work around it. I'm not going to complain about it considering the cost of the lipstick. What really blew me away was the color. On me it turned a bit more fuschia (as most reds do), but still retained most of the wine shade. Best applied with a lip brush and a liner wouldn't hurt, but also looks great straight from the tube.

This one was NOT a winner for me. It's a great color, but I hated the finish and wear. It was too slippery and greasy, and the color migrated to the outside of my lips. Within a couple hours I had a brownish red ring on the outside of my lips and no color anywhere else. I returned it.

I was at the MAC counter today while wearing Revlon's Sassy Mauve, and the MAC saleswoman asked if I was wearing Twig (which just happens to be my favorite lipstick)!! I don't think Sassy Mauve looks that much like Twig, though. It's often described as a more pigmented version of MAC's Syrup. It is a gorgeous mauve-ish color that is probably flattering for a lot of different skin tones. While not as creamy as my favorite MAC satins, this Super Lustrous lipstick has a very nice, comfortable texture that lasted at least 4 hours without a touch-up. This is a great daytime color that I will reach for often. And only $4.99 at Target!!

Gorgeous, gorgeous lipstick! Applies smoothly in a thin, highly pigmented layer. I only wish it was more matte, but that's just personal preference. This shade complements my warm-leaning neutral skin tone amazingly well, and I've been told that my complexion seems to "brighten up" the moment I put on this lip color. Seriously contemplating getting a back-up. Though, I would say that its staying power isn't amazing, and there isn't much stain left behind, either. But it is definitely very comfortable to wear and reapply as needed!

The shade is goregeous, a light pink perfect for fair skin but it has some chunky glitter on it and feels like an exfoliation lipstick because the big glitter.

Beautiful color, comfortable to wear and it longs more than 5 hours without touch up. Creamy texture, definitely a basic.

This color is stunning, but it get into the fine lines of the lips. I absolutely love the cream formula of the Super Lustrous, but not on this color.

I love the Super Lustrous line, this one it's a pretty color. Obviously is sheer and shine because of the type of lipstick, so keep that in mind.

Really really nice line of lipsticks from Revlon. I have this in a couple of shades [e.g. Fire and Ice, Cherry Blossom, Cherries in the Snow]. The pigmentation of these lipsticks are amazing and the texture is just fabulous. Creamy, smooth and buildable. Though it may be a tad drying after few hours. it is not something that is overly unbearable. Just a slight drying effect. Other than that, these are long wearing and have great staying power on me [with me eating, drinking, talking etc] Really like the price tag of these as well and I definitely like to go once in awhile to see what other shades may catch my eye. One of my favorite lipsticks to sport! HG status!

It's the perfect cool/blue-toned, lavender-ish pink. I feel like if you're a Revlon lipstick junkie, this is one of the lipsticks that HAVE to be in your collection. Even though it's really lighter pink, it's not to light to the point where it makes someone with fairer skin look pale or someone with darker skin look like they have "ashy" lips. It really is a perfect pink and a good everyday shade and is very buildable. People say that this is a dupe for MAC's Creme Cup, but Creme Cup is definitely warmer than Primrose. I'd say that color-wise it was closer to MAC's Snob, the only real difference is Snob is more intense because it is a Satin finish and Primrose is a Creme finish.

This shade and Revlon's Black Cherry, are my go to vampy shades. It's really buildable depending on how dark you want to go. But in my opinion, this color looks best when FULLY applied with a heavy hand. I think this color is a great color for "mixing" other shades with. This color could be considered a dupe for MAC's Cyber or MAC's Yung Rapunxel... but not the finish. This lipstick looks very glossy and shiny on the lips. Not like the MAC lipsticks would. This looks good on all skin tones. Especially on darker skin.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE RED'S EVER. It sets so well on my lips and it goes well with my skin tone. Out of all the reds in the Super Lustrous line, I feel like this red is the MOST blue based red (which I typically go for). The other ones in the line seem to be kind of bright and orangey. But Certainly Red is darker and more bluer. Even though I feel like it's the more bluer red, it's not the bluest shade of red I'm looking for. The day Revlon Super Lustrous comes out with a more blue based red (like MAC Russian Red), will be the day I stop using this one and use that one instead.

This color has been around since the FIFTIES. It is such a gorgeous shade. It's a cult classic make up item. This lipstick gives such a "girly yet edgier" look to a simple outfit instantly. It commands attention. I would describe it as kind of a "hot raspberry" shade. The thing about this lipstick though is that it's really dupeable. There are PLENTY of shades like this around. Check out Wet n' Wild's Cherry Picking lipstick for only $1.99, or MAC's Moxie and I'm sure there are other dupes around for it. It's so pigmented and really buildable.

It's such a lovely nude for every skin tone, but I think it looks best on tan/medium to dark skin tones. I just put this right on my lips and don't use a liner, which is rare for me when I wear nudes. It's slightly pink, but only SLIGHTLY. It's mostly a beige. I think that's perfect because it's not too beige to the point where it washes you out, but it's not too pink to the point where it's not categorized as a nude lipstick. I'm not gonna lie, I have to reapply sometimes and I feel like it is a bit on the sheerer side. But it's really creamy and smooth... like most of the Super Lustrous lipsticks.

Berry Haute is my absolute favorite Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick shade. From my experience, out of all the Super Lustrous lipsticks that I have (which is a lot), this paticular shade goes on a lot smoothly than the others. The good thing about this shade is that if you apply it lightly with one swipe, it provides a good wash of color that looks completely natural... almost pinky. But if you build it up, it's true purplish-pink shade will come through. The heavier the hand, the purpler the shade. This shade will look great on all skin tones. This shade is a great dupe for MAC's Up The Amp, but Up The Amp is definitely more cooler and bluer based. Regardless, this is shade is one of my Holy Grail Revlon products.

I adore this red, Even after trying reds from higher-end brand like NARS, MAC, Bobbi Brown etc, I always keep coming back to this because it just WORKS on me and brightens my whole face without looking too over the top. I think this is a perfect day-time red as it is not super deep.

My FAVORITE lip shade! I keep it in my purse in case I need a pick me up. It's supposed to be a dupe for MAC's Vegas Volt, I missed out on that LE shade but this one is juuust as awesome! It looks great on my nc25 skin tone with almost any look and the best part is that it still looks pretty natural for a coral.
