Revlon Kiss Me Coral, Siren, Fire & Ice Super Lustrous Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Kiss Me Coral
Revlon Kiss Me Coral Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a bright, medium orange with strong, warm red undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation–a little more coverage than as described, though I doubt that’ll be a deal-breaker for too many–that covered my lips evenly. The consistency was smooth, lightweight, and balm-like as it glided easily across my lips but didn’t feel too “wet” so it didn’t slide around while worn. It stayed on nicely for four and a half hours and was lightly hydrating.

Formula Overview
$8.49/0.15 oz. - $56.60 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "lightweight color and moisturizing shine" with "buildable color payoff" and a "gliding, smooth application." It's a good formula for those who like medium, buildable coverage with a smooth, balmy consistency that glides across lips easily but doesn't feel too slippery while worn.
They're comfortable to wear with light hydration but tend to wear a shorter length of time--anywhere from two to four hours with a couple of shades reaching a little beyond four hours. What I like most about the formula is the finish: it's luminous and more smoothing, so it's kinder to lips with imperfection or prone to dryness/flaking. The formula has slip but doesn't have any heaviness or slickness that makes it prone to getting into lip lines.

Siren
Revlon Siren Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a bright, medium orange with warm undertones and a natural sheen. The color payoff was more semi-opaque and buildable than medium and buildable, so it was a little more pigmented than described. The texture felt smooth and lightweight, thinner but not clingy, and comfortable to wear as it glided across easily and didn’t emphasize my lip texture. It wore well for four hours and was lightly moisturizing while worn.

Fire & Ice
Revlon Fire & Ice Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a bright, medium red with neutral undertones and a cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which was buildable to nearly opaque coverage. To achieve more “true medium” in coverage, I applied it to my bottom lip and then spread the color across my top lip by pressing/rubbing my lips together. The consistency felt lightly creamy, smooth, and thin without being clingy, and it didn’t slide around too much, but there was a little more slip compared to other shades in the range that I have tried. It lasted well for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

I love that youβre getting back to these! Theyβre such a drugstore staple and itβs going to be great to have dupe lists.
So glad you’re reviewing these! Even though I’ve discovered the joys of higher-end lip color, I still find myself coming back to these because they’re so comfortable!
These are all a bit warm for me but it is SO nice to see Revlon’s lipsticks, for which they’ve been deservedly famous for decades, doing SO well. I am old enough to remember when bringing some Revlon lipsticks to give as gifts if travelling to the USSR was the BEST, most appreciated gift you could give (along with blue jeans!)
I’ve had Fire & Ice on my “strongly interested list for about 20 years.” The only dupe I have is Trust Me from CP, but the finish is completely different. I know I have a lot of reds, but …
I dunno. This color and Cherries In the Snow have piqued my interest for longer than I’ve actually been interested in makeup.
How on Earth did I so badly misplace that second quote? It’s supposed to be “‘strongly interested’ list for about…”
[sigh]
Looking at it applied, clearly there is good reason why Fire & Ice has been a classic for decades! Absolutely stunning shade of lighter, brighter red that doesn’t wander into orange-red or coral-red territory, yet has a certain level of warmth to it.
Although I have had Fire and Ice for some time, I don’t find myself wearing it but that could be related to my having a few hundred lipsticks. The others all pull too warm for me. I will have to dig out my Fire and Ice and see if it is rancid, LOL!
Same here Deborah! I need to pull that classic out, along with Cherries in the Snow. I adore those but have so many other newer ones that keep coming out! Time to put them in rotation lol
Lipsticks and e/s palettes seem to be the things that most of us just can’t resist. If I eliminated them from my collection I could probably fit my collection in a couple of drawers but as it stands right now, I have two dressers full and really need to do another de-clutter. Nothing stops me from buying a new lipstick though. It is instant gratification and usually relatively inexpensive compared to other products.
It’s great to see Revlon putting out really good quality lipsticks again. Lovely shades too.
Fire & Ice and I go back a very long time. I have gone through so many tubes of it and it never fails to deliver. Such a classic. If you look up iconic in the dictionary a picture of a tube of this color is next to the word as an example.
I just love seeing an old favorite coming back for another turn.
P.S I also loved the matching nail polish.
Yes letβs see more reviews of Revlon, Maybelline, and Covergirl! They were my staples when I was in my teens or back in late 1980s to early 2000s! They are almost always on sale everyday π I would also love to see NYX and Essence here as well.
Thanks, Christine
From Christine!
I love the color of Fire & Ice, and I’m always meaning to buy it, but never get around to it. I should remedy that. I think it would look fab on me.
Oh my, I really want to try Fie & Ice, I’m in my upper 40s and I’ve never tried it! But to be fair I’ve always been a little afraid of lipstick, let alone red lipstick. I wonder if they still make the nailpolish, I can be all matchy matchy and classic. I still love wearing my Cherries In The Snow polish, love it!
You’ve inspired me to pull Fire & Ice out of my stash. I’ve owned it for years and years but never thought it was “flattering” on me for some reason. (How many years? I own the special anniversary edition packaging! It’s still fiiine.) But I was wrong, it looks great, and I’m so happy about it because (like you) I love a sheeny finish lipstick. Doing the good work, as usual, Christine!
Yay, happy to hear that it’s working well for you, R! π
