In the Shadows is a deep black with subtle, warm undertones and contrasting gold micro-sparkle over a matte finish. It had a stiffer, thinner texture that was really hard to blend out. I had to pat it into place and then pick up more product each time to continue applying the color to an area as it wouldn't spread at all. The eyeshadow had opaque pigmentation and lasted well for seven hours and had moderate fallout over time.
