Tarte In Bloom is a permanent eye palette that retails for $45.00 and contains 0.63 oz.

Editor's Review

Tarte In Bloom Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette ($45.00 for 0.63 oz.) includes twelve eyeshadows in a warmer, neutral-hued theme. I liked it overall, and I think if you normally use primer or have good luck with Tarte's eyeshadow formula, you'll likely enjoy the formula as well. I think it is, undoubtedly, dupable, and I think if they had opted for less warm-tones, it might have been more unique among the slew of neutral palettes previously released.

I have hooded, deep-set eyes and oily skin. I also work long hours, usually between 9 - 11 hours. I've tried this palette over a variety of eyeshadow bases. The shimmers last decent and blend well, but are not all that bold. The majority of the palette consists of mattes, and they do not last well on my hooded, oily lids. They blend ok at best, and are prone to fading or going muddy when blended. Even if applied wet with a setting spray, they crease within a couple hours. And they crease BAD. I've had mattes from "cheaper" brands perform better. Disappointed. Will only be using the shimmers for my weekdays and might use some mattes for short events: brunch or dinner or something like that.

One of my top 5 beginner and everyday best-for-the-average-person palettes. If you want a no-nonsense palette that is complete, durable, travel-friendly, quick, convenient, AND doesn't require hours and hours of Youtube tutorials, this is it. The colors are not as pigmented as, say, ABH, so they are easy to control and build. They are so blendable, they basically blend themselves, even with cheap brushes. I used brushes from Shop Miss A "All About Eyes", and you really don't get much cheaper than that in terms of quality, and this palette STILL delivers. The darkest mattes in this palette are a lot less pigmented than the other shades but they are still buildable and still work. The shimmers are GORGEOUS, but definitely use your finger for best results. This palette is also extremely idiot-proof. You can have no knowledge of what colors to use aside from "light on one side and dark in the outer corner" and do that and you'll look great. Also the packaging is A+. It is so practical. It's sturdy and feels like it can hold up to a lot. It's so travel friendly. The lid doesn't flop around like, say, Urban Decay Born to Run or ABH. It's a huge mirror too since the palette is a beautiful, compact square. My favorite, go-to travel palette now that I have it. Now that I own this palette, every other palette that's 'neutral with a pop of color' that comes out, I have to question myself if it's really worth getting because all the neutrals can usually be duped or mimicked with In Bloom!

I have the Tartelette and the Tartelette In Bloom palette. I love that there are all mattes in the first one and mostly mattes in the second. The colors are very subtle and not too intense when first applied, so it is easy to make an office appropriate eye-look in the morning. They are pretty dry shadows, so it's not always easy to get the color the same level of intensity on both eyes. I find that the shadows have faded and creased after 6 1/2 to 7 hours though, which is not the full work day for me (by a long shot). I slightly regret buying the In Bloom palette when I knew this was an issue with the original. I don't experience fall out. I've used these shadows over Too Faced shadow primer and MAC paint pots as primer, and I have a narrow eye fold on both eyes. I don't have the same issue with other shadows, like Make Up For Ever, MAC, NARS, or Colour Pop, for example (those usually last a 12 hour work day).

I absolutely love this palette. I loved the first one but I think I may like this one more because its warmer and I love that there are the 3 shimmery shades. The mattes all performed well for me. I also thought the shimmers were very nice and pigmented. I think between this and the original one I may not need to travel with another palette again.
