NARS No Shame Killer Shine Lipstick ($29.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a "red plum." It's a bright, medium-dark berry-red with cool, fuchsia undertones and a moderate shine. For such a simultaneously bright and dark shade, it actually applies extremely well: the color goes on smoothly, evenly, and doesn't look streaky. It's semi-opaque (you can see my lip freckle peeking through still) and isn't too heavy to wear. The consistency is lightly creamy with some slip, but I didn't have feathering when I wore it for five hours; if you're more prone to feathering, you may want to use a lip liner as the amount of slip could result in feathering.
