Editor's Review

The formula is supposed to have “intense amounts of pigment” with a gel-like texture that melts on lips that leaves behind a satin finish and wears for “eight hours.” It’s supposed to be “comfortable” to wear, but there are no claims about hydration–and overall, they were non-drying.

The majority of the range varied from semi-opaque to fully opaque in one stroke, while the texture had some body and thickness to it but was not heavy. The consistency feels firmer in the tube, but it became softer and more pliable as it warmed up against the lips. This was also true about how the color settled and looked on the lips–it tended to fill up lip lines without emphasizing them as much after thirty seconds of wear. This was also true about how the color settled and looked on the lips–it tended to fill up lip lines without emphasizing them as much after thirty seconds of wear. The formula didn”t have a lot of slip, and it was actually lightly tacky, which helped it stay in place better.

The wear ranged from four to eight hours with lighter shades typically wearing shorter than deeper and more intense shades. The finish was anywhere from satin to natural with noticeable sheen, sometimes glossiness, but it often wore to a satin to semi-matte finish after a few hours. The formula has MAC’s typical vanilla scent but had no discernible taste.

Cannot get over MAC’s decision to discontinue this line of lipsticks! This shade is unmatched, the color is a magnificent darker “nude” with pink/brick tones, perfectly pigmented, perfect for autumn/winter, not particularly drying, long lasting, easy to apply.

One of the most beautiful bright pink lipsticks I have ever used is seen around, it’s creamy, very pigmented, long-lasting and looks even more beautiful on than in pictures. It’s such a shame that MAC decided to discontinue the liptensity line, there is nothing like it around sadly

Fire Roasted is probably one of the best lipstick I ever owned. Color is devine, a very special deep red with warm brown/copper in it, it glides on the lips easily for an instant super-comfy wear, it's perfectly pigmented and stays on for a very very long time.

Highly pigmented and creamy, but does tend to bleed a bit on me after a few hours if I don\'t wear it with a liner of some kind. Beautiful colour, super pigmented in one swipe. Lasts for a few hours, leaves behind a mild stain. I'd give it a 5 if it didn't bleed!

It looks sheerer on me than most swatches I've seen, but I don't mind since it makes it more wearable for me. It's a grey lavender colour, and in some lights pulls more blue. It's great if you have pastel blue hair like I did when I first got it.

I'm constantly on the fence about this colour. It is very dark and tends to wear away in the middle of my lips, which I don't like, but it's also very pigmented overall and feels nice on. I have Galaxy Grey as well, and that feels much better on, so this formula isn't 100% consistent, this one is from the drier end. I'm giving a few more chances before destashing though, because the colour is really good and it does apply better over time once the surface isn't as smooth anymore.
