Dior Montaigne Matte (207) Rouge Dior LipstickDior Montaigne Matte (207) Rouge Dior Lipstick ($35.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium gray with neutral-to-cool undertones paired with a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff that applied decently, but it could have been more even and flattering on the lips, as some of the color pulled into lip lines. The texture was smooth, velvety--creamy without being too emollient--and didn't tug on the lips when applied from the tube. It lasted for five and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating. I do, however, love seeing Dior include non-traditional colors in their permanent range. MAC Night Mint (LE, $20.00) is warmer, glossier (85% similar). NYX Black Sesame (P, $6.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). Anastasia Smoke (P, $18.00) is darker, more muted, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
