Editor's Review

Best Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color  is supposed to have one-stroke color coverage with a hydrating, smoothing formula, and “nourishing shine.” I was impressed with the formula as a whole, as the majority of the shades were very pigmented in one pass with a creamy consistency that glided on easily. There’s a richness to the texture that does feel more “luxe” in a way.

The natural-to-luminous shine level gives lips a smoother, plumper look, while the formula itself is hydrating and many shades are longer-wearing. I noticed that the lighter shades tended to perform more poorly relative to more light-medium to medium-dark-hued shades. There was a faint floral scent (that was a surprise, I wish they had gone the unscented!), but I didn’t have issues with taste and found it very subtle... Read More.

In general, I like Bobbi Brown’s lipstick formulas, and this one feels creamier and more hydrating than others, but for pigmentation, you can’t go wrong with this or the Rich Lip Color formula.

Love the color, it's a nice pale pinky mauve that's natural looking and not to bright or dark nor too light and stark. It goes on pretty well, but isn't the most moisturizing color. It's pretty expensive and I would not rebuy it, the color is good but not a must have. I would try to find a cheaper dupe of it. My gripe besides the price is the smell of the lipsticks, I really did not enjoy that. And finally just decided I couldn't stand it.

First, let me say I\'m pasty, so I do not like going too pale on the lips. This color erases my lips, though it might be a good nude for some, but it is a few shades lighter than my natural lip color and gathers in my lip creases. It has nothing in common with the discontinued Bobbi Brown Rich Lip Color named Uber Nude, which is a medium plummy brown. This is a slightly pinky rose beige, close to, but paler than the old Bobbi color Brownie. Since I don\'t like going too light on the lips, this is a big let down for the money. The pic here looks like an entirely different lipstick from the pale rose-beige that I received.

This is my first review because this is, out of probably hundreds of lipsticks and glosses, my HG lipstick! The formula is fantastic: it wears on me for an average of 6 hours, depending on the color (I have Your Majesty and Red Berry, which wear/stain for longer; Soft Berry is 4-5 hours) and lipstick normally slides right off in an hour or so. I'm not sure why this one is different. I find it to be lightweight in that it's very pigmented in one pass without looking or feeling lipsticky, but a couple passes build up the color and give it that fuller lipstick feel. Yet it doesn't get as heavy as, say, the regular Bobbi Lip Color (or any number of other lipsticks that have been around forever). Depending on application, this shade ranges from a slightly darker MLBB shade to a rich, well, soft berry that straddles the line, for me, between too red, too brown, and too pink. I looove lipstick, but my work-from-home "wardrobe" doesn't support the rich deep colors I favor. Soft Berry enhances my pigmented lips, fair skin, green eyes, and dark brown hair with some color while managing to look really natural and not too "done." Unless I really go for it with two layers, blot, and another layer! Christine's description of the color is, as always, spot on: "muted, medium-dark rosy plum with subtle, warm undertones." This is the first lipstick EVER where I haven't wanted to add a gloss, liner, tinted balm, etc. I still enjoy other colors, of course, like the two red shades mentioned above, but this is Everyday Lipstick Perfection.

The perfect shade of pink! This applies beautifully and is moisturizing to the lips. Good staying power. My fave shade from the entire collection.

I bought this after seeing the lip swatch. However when I put it on its much darker and more purple than in the pictures on here (im fair/light skin tone). It is still a nice shade just kinda bummed that it wasnt more like the lip swatch. It feels very nice. I do notice some bleeding so a lip liner is prob a good idea.
