Bobbi Brown Soft Berry is a very warm-toned, light-medium plum with a luminous finish. It is a discontinued lipstick that retails for $37.00 and contains 0.13 oz.

Editor's Review

Bobbi Brown Soft Berry Luxe Lip Color ($35.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a "neutral rose berry." It's a muted, medium-dark rosy plum with subtle, warm undertones and a luminous shine. It had rich, opaque color coverage with a creamy consistency that glided on easily. The color wore well for five hours, and it was moisturizing during as well as after it wore away. Shiseido Rose Crush (RD715) (DC, $28.00) is cooler (95% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Glowing Jen (P, $37.00) is more shimmery, lighter, warmer (90% similar). Revlon Blushing Nude (P, $8.49) is more shimmery, warmer (90% similar). MAC Glamourdaze (LE, $19.00) is darker (95% similar). Estee Lauder Bois de Rose (P, $32.00) is brighter (90% similar). Chanel Fidelite (75) (P, $45.00) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (90% similar). ColourPop Mosh Pit (LE, $7.00) is lighter (95% similar). Shiseido Night Rose (203) (P, $26.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Chanel Ce Soir (DC, $34.00) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). ColourPop Dr. Facilier (LE, $8.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Bite Beauty Rosewood (DC, $28.00) is lighter (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Viva La Vergara (P, $37.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Urban Decay Keep Tame (LE, $18.00) is lighter, less pigmented, warmer (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Richard (P, $36.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Bite Beauty Torte (LE, $24.00) is lighter, cooler (85% similar). Bobbi Brown Cranberry (P, $29.00) is less shimmery, darker, warmer (85% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Negligee (LE, $57.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Urban Decay Hitch Hike (DC, $18.00) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). Pat McGrath Unfaithful (DC, $40.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). ColourPop Marmalade (LE, $7.00) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

This is my first review because this is, out of probably hundreds of lipsticks and glosses, my HG lipstick! The formula is fantastic: it wears on me for an average of 6 hours, depending on the color (I have Your Majesty and Red Berry, which wear/stain for longer; Soft Berry is 4-5 hours) and lipstick normally slides right off in an hour or so. I'm not sure why this one is different. I find it to be lightweight in that it's very pigmented in one pass without looking or feeling lipsticky, but a couple passes build up the color and give it that fuller lipstick feel. Yet it doesn't get as heavy as, say, the regular Bobbi Lip Color (or any number of other lipsticks that have been around forever). Depending on application, this shade ranges from a slightly darker MLBB shade to a rich, well, soft berry that straddles the line, for me, between too red, too brown, and too pink. I looove lipstick, but my work-from-home "wardrobe" doesn't support the rich deep colors I favor. Soft Berry enhances my pigmented lips, fair skin, green eyes, and dark brown hair with some color while managing to look really natural and not too "done." Unless I really go for it with two layers, blot, and another layer! Christine's description of the color is, as always, spot on: "muted, medium-dark rosy plum with subtle, warm undertones." This is the first lipstick EVER where I haven't wanted to add a gloss, liner, tinted balm, etc. I still enjoy other colors, of course, like the two red shades mentioned above, but this is Everyday Lipstick Perfection.
