Patrick Ta That's Why She's Late & She's Not From Here Matte Suede Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
That's Why She's Late
Patrick Ta That’s Why She’s Late Matte Suede Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a deep red with subtle, cool undertones and a satin sheen. It had excellent pigmentation that applied an even layer of product across my lips comfortably.
The lipstick had a velvety consistency that was dense without being heavy or firm, so it glided across my lips with ease. It didn’t slide around during wear, so I didn’t experience feathering or the like. The color stayed on nicely for over six hours and felt non-drying while worn.

Formula Overview
$32.00/0.14 oz. - $228.57 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "fully loaded with pigment" and have a "powdery-soft, velvet finish." The texture was smooth, velvety, and creamy without a lot of shine or traditional slip--again, velvety!--of a typical lipstick but nowhere near as dry or as firm as a traditional matte lipstick either. They had rich color coverage in a single layer but felt very weightless on.
Half of the range sat fairly smoothly on my lips while the other half separated slightly along my deeper lip lines, which wasn't always enough to be noticeable in person. The colors applied evenly and were very long-wearing with most shades lasting over six hours on me and were neither drying nor hydrating over time. I didn't notice any scent or taste.

She's Not From Here
Patrick Ta She’s Not From Here Matte Suede Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a vivid, medium-dark orange-red with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had rich color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without dragging.
The texture felt more velvety–dense, smooth, and glided on readily but didn’t feel traditionally creamy or “wet”–and had good adhesion for longer-wear. The only issue I had, which is something I’ve experienced with more velvety formulas like it, is a bit of separation along my lip lines, which was only noticeable in the close-up photos but not in person. It wore well for over six hours and felt neither drying nor hydrating over time.

As beautiful as these look and how much I love how they look, I am so grateful that I have both MAC Russian Red and Lady Danger. Primarily because I have no idea when I will be able to rock a bold non-drydown lip again now that masks are mandatory in most of Maricopa County when out and about. I’ll just stick with my tube of MAC Siempre Selena for days when I’m just dying to wear a red lip that no one else can see!
Beautiful shade but since we are not wearing much lipstick these days, it would be crazy to add to my already huge collection. I have a lot of reds already. I feel like brands that have the majority of there sales wrapped up in lipsticks are going to suffer for the next few years. Bite Beauty comes to mind. I hope that they survive as they have one of my favorite lipstick formula’s.
I thought I would like She’s Not From Here – but it’s a bit too orangey for me. However I do love That’s Why She’s Late….a stunning red.
Total classics. Exemplary. It’s a shame these came out during mask season, because they would have far better appreciation and sales, were it not for Covid.
