Pat McGrath Divine Rose MatteTrance Lipstick Review & Swatches
Divine Rose
Pat McGrath Divine Rose MatteTrance Lipstick ($38.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with warmer undertones and a cream finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly across my lips, but it had a fair amount of slip so it separated a bit along my lip lines. The consistency was smooth and velvety, which made it comfortable to apply and to wear. This shade lasted for four and a half hours on me and felt non-drying.

Formula Overview
$38.00/0.14 oz. - $271.43 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be “richly pigmented” with “”supreme hydration” and “opulent matte opacity.” The consistency was smooth, velvety, and dense without being too firm for one-stroke, glide-on application (I found the original shades to be slightly firmer compared to more newly released shades). They had nearly opaque to opaque coverage in one layer and most were buildable.
They had a subtle sheen--more satin-to-cream in finish--that wore down to a natural matte finish within an hour or two of wear. The formula lasted between four and eight hours on me, and while most weren't drying, they aren't "supreme[ly" hydrating either. They are, however, comfortable to wear over a longer period of time and reapply well. There was no discernible scent or taste to the formula.

This is so fresh and pretty on you! I am putting it on my wishlist.
Another major win! I love this lip color, especially for spring and summer usage. Just very soft yet a bit bright of a pink that I can so see myself rocking! Love!
Hmmm – the shade colour is a little too bland and pale for my liking. I wish the colour had a bit more ‘oomph’ to it.
Im glad I ordered this, its exactly the kind of pink that looks like a pinky nude on me as colors referred to as “pinky nudes” always end up looking like concealer on me.
While I love the colour itself, it would look awful on me, or I awful wearing it. I keep being amazed that you can wear any lip colour and still look gorgeous, Christine.
Your complexion looks so good here! Luminous and fresh.
This color is very pretty on fair to medium complexions on its own. Wish she included a darker rose shade. I’m sure adding a little chocolate lip liner would make it a more wearable shade for me. Oh well…money saved.
